Beeston mate I think you are overlooking the fact that their performances against Margarito have nothing to do with how these guys match up stylistically. Cotto's ability to mix it up with boxing, speed, defence and adaptability makes him a different proposition for Mosley than Margarito full stop. The only hope Mosley would have is for Cotto to engage him in a prolonged toe to toe battle, which Miguel simply will not do. Miguel will beat him on points again probably by a wider decision than last time. Shane is not any better at 38, it is just Margarito stylewise made him look awesome. You don't beat Shane by going toe to toe with him. I was one who predicted Shane would beat Margarito handily. Cotto is a different proposition.

In MSG a draw at least for Cotto, everywhere else Mosley by close but clear decision.

I am not convinced Pacman, Freddie Roach and Arum really want to fight Pacman. Also all this baloney about bringing guys down to 144 is crap. Either fight them at 147 or STAY AT 140.

Cotto is NOT the same fighter he was pre-Margo, and frankly, Mosley fought the wrong fight that night.

Even still, me and many others believe that Mosley deserved to win that night.

In a rematch, I expect Mosley's approach to be much different.

This time around, I fully expect Mosley to take advantage when Cotto fades down the stretch (as he always does).

I am 100% confident that Nazeem will have a stellar game plan prepared, and I am equally confident that Shane will execute.

If they fight again, I will be shocked if Cotto sees the final bell.

Mosley is a better fighter than Cotto, and Cotto has definitely slipped since they first met.

I am sure this fight will happen after Cotto stop Pacman in November provided Mosley does fight PBF later this year which I think will bring about Mosley's retirement. Nazeem is a good trainer but I don't think it was Mosley fighting the wrong fight it was him playing the cards he was dealt. Cotto will see the final bell as Mosley will not be wearing loaded gloves like Margarito.

Mosley, the only hard part is if its a KO or not.

Probably a KO, Cotto was pretty easy to hit last night and Mosley is faster and has more power than Clottey.

Cotto can take a lot and has a lot of heart though so it would be a late round TKO

    1. I doubt (but hope) this will happen.
    2. If it does happen, I think the odds of Pac stopping Cotto are much higher.

I think Cotto would begin the fight on his bike. And we all know he is terribly ineffective while in retreat. And he looked somewhat slower last niight than usual. Mosely stops him for these reasons.

But don't expect Bob Arum to let this fight go down. It ain't gonna happen.

Clottey is as physically strong as Mosley maybe more so. Shane is a better puncher
