Anyone else notice that Lampley did the interviews and not Kellerman?

Did you guys notice they talked about Cotto having an eleventh round KO of Urkal and implying that he could still end the fight at any time. Didn't Urkal just quit cause he was losing and the ref was being shady? Either Lampley wasn't on top of his game or he was deliberatly misleading people. Maybe I misremembered the fight tho.

Kellerman is an unqualified joke and a nuthugger for just about any fighter from New York no matter how good or bad they are.

Oh and he also gave us this little gem which was disgraceful:

"Roy Jones would beat Joe Frazier"

yes folks, Kellerman actually said that.

I don't know about the fight, but I can say that Lampley was definitely off last night. He was tripping over his words quite a bit. I think behind the scenes things were a bit hectic with Lewis and Merchant away, and Max with a sore throat. Lampley had to take on more than usual.

Thanks for sharing the video. Am I the only one that wanted to see Max get suckered punched during that commentating clip? Not only is he an arrogant *****, but his love for Judah, Taylor, Hopkins etc... Its sometimes a bit overboard. I miss Merchant, the guy would ask the questions people wanted to hear, and he didn't start pitching a tent when he was listening to what some of his favorite fighters had to say.

Agreed, it started getting bad a couple years ago. I remember when they use to do the close up on him before the fight, he would start talking and forget what he wanted to say. Then he would talk about nothing that had to do anything with boxing, then Lampley would give him a weird look and would say "Thanks for that Larry.

Fraizer and Jones would have been a good fight, the size difference isn't huge.

Prime for prime it'd be a great fight.

AND he is VERY disrespectful to the fighters he isn't trying to give head to. One of my boxing fantasies is that some day that big eared. googley eyed ****er will say something crazy to Mayorga!

Dreams do come true, Larry came close a few times to getting hit and Gray had a couple real close calls. I think it was either after the Holyfield fight or the Ruiz one, Toney knocked his mic down and went to go after him, but he was held back by Goosen. An even better time was after Tyson beat Brian Neilson, Gray started giving Tyson his interview and kept getting pushed from the back by Tyson's entourage, Gray looked scared as ****. He had that face on like "Get me the **** out of here". This happend to him a couple times, I just cant recall what exact fights.

As far as Kellerman is concerned, the guy just rubs me the wrong way. He's the type of guy you just would love to punch. He was alright doing Boxing after dark, but thats only because there was no fighters who he can cream his pants over. Now he's in the spotlight and has the best boxers in the world he can interview now, I just wish he would go back to doing his old job, which was filling Larry's shot glass inbetween rounds.

Nope. The sooner HBO gets rid of this clown, the better!:yep

Hey, where's his publicist? He usually shows up to tout how great Kellerman is just about now!!

He's either on vacation or Kellerman didn't give him his check for the week to post his bull**** on the forums.:rofl
