    114-113 clottey
despite it being only one point i thought the round by round scoring was pretty easy and clottey won fairly clearly

Can you post your card? I'd like to see which 7 rounds were so clear for Clottey and which 5 were so clear for Cotto.

I had a tough time scoring multiple rounds.

    I had it 9 -3 Clottey, giving Cotto rounds 1, 6, and 12. I can understand giving him round 4 though, but I didn't.

I only had Cotto winning 3 clearly, the first round he was losing until the knockdown, so you have to give him that round and a 2 point deficit. He won round 6 when Clottey stayed in the corner and did not work. He won the 12 because Clottey did nothing and was outworked.

Outside of those 3 rounds, please tell me how you found Cotto clearly winning any other round over Clottey?

Clottey was more accurate, the more cleaner puncher, and had the much better defense to neutralize most of Miguel's flurries.

    114-113 Cotto

Clottey had built some good momentum going into the final 2 rounds where he could've taken the victory. I think in rounds 11 and 12 he didn't do enough when Cotto was backing up and allowed Cotto to snatch those rounds. If Clottey stepped it up a bit more in the final couple of rounds then I think he would've won clearly.

Exactly, and I think that it goes to show us that his "my hand was injured against Mararito" is bogus.....

....that was Clottey's excuse against Margarito when he stopped fighting for long stretches......then he does the same against Cotto.....

Clottey just does'nt have the killer instinct or even a hunter's mentality.......when he saw Cotto continually wiping at the blood in his eye, he should have upped the tempo, but instead he lowered it.....taking the lackadaisacal approach and letting Cotto dictate the pace in the championship rounds.

The bottom line for me is that Clottey did'nt have the intestinal fortitude to go out and take it from the Champion and bigger name in Cotto.

How can anyone give Cotto round 11. Even Cotto nuthuggers, lederman and Dan Rafeal admit Clottey won Round 11.

Cotto won the fight. Ugly and the rounds he won were closer than the rounds Clottey won but I'm not going to talk down on him. He pulled out the win with a truly terrible cut from the ****ING CLOTTEY HEAD.

CLOTTEY NEEDS TO KEEP HIS ****ING HEAD TO HIMSELF. ALL THE ****ING TIME HE IS JUST BUTTING THE **** OUT OF HIS OPPONENT, JUST FLYING IN WITH THE HEAD. JEEEZZZZ. GUY NEEDS TO WEAR A ****ING HEADGUARD - IT WOULD ACTUALLY FAVOUR HIS OPPONENT.
