I take nothing away from Cotto, but Pac's blazing speed and ability to hit the target is what seems to overwhelm, suprise, and discourage his opponents. I observed Cotto's ability to escape danger in his fights with Mosley, Judah, and Clottey and the difference between the aforementioned fighters and Pac is that he is able to sustain his attack and he won't give away rounds. Cotto is strong, but he fades in the latter rounds as he did with these 3 men. Against a man of Pac's caliber there is no room for error. Although he has a puncher's chance. If JMM can stun Pac then surely Cotto can do the same if he penetrate through his blazing speed and not get caught himself.

I think Pac's in and out style will give Cotto some trouble the more I think about it. Cotto needs to use his jab and impose his will on Pac.....and go to the body early and often.

Pacman will have a big speed advantage. Cotto's timing is underrated. Who the **** knows. So many variables come into play with this fight.

I see Pac obliterating Cotto. If Judah gives Cotto fits (and honestly I think Cotto was better back then) then Pac rips him up.
I think the only people who have a chance against pac are men who are MUCH, MUCH Bigger, and stronger, OR an incredible counter puncher. The only 3 people I think that got good chances, or beat Pac

    Mayweather 50/50
JMM 40/60 (pac is so much better since then)
PW 90/10 (PW is straight up to DAMN BIG, to active, and can take Manny's punch)

Mosley, and Cotto have a punchers chance, but that's it. Pac makes them look washed up, and old like DLH, Hatton, etc.

Do you really think he doesn't? :think

I mean, saying Pac will probably win is a totally different thing than saying Cotto doesn't have a decent chance to win this fight. Some people really underestimate Cotto.

has-a-chance? Of course. Cotto is a student of timing and distance. He's a powerhouse with boxing skills.

Pacquiao would have his hands full in a major way.

Whasup my man Rafa! Hope you're good mate.

Btw, I completely agree. I don't know what some people are thinking when they say Cotto doesn't stand a chance vs Pac.

The best indication of how Cotto might handle PAC is his fight with Mosely. He survived that ok (well, he won). So I give him a chance.

LOL...more like do you think Pacquiao has a chance against Cotto. This will be a very dangerous fight for Pacquiao due to Cotto size and power. I do think Pacquiao will win though.

Totally agree with this. This is in no way similar to Pac v Hatton.

Cotto was up against an extremely tough challenge with Clottey, and I think people are getting the wrong impression with yesterday's fight.

This is gonna be a war! (for however long it lasts)

Yes, Cotto has a good chance to beat Pac, but I am now giving Pac the edge.

Cotto has a very good chance if it's at 147 pounds but if it's at 144 pounds Pac wins by ko.
