Do you really think Cotto has a chance against Pac?

This is what I'm inclined to think but given the fates of DLH and Hatton I don't know if this argument can hold up. I guess I'm still getting used to PAC as a force at this weight. In all probability he will be backing Cotto up.

How is 3 pounds for a smallish WW be much of a difference. Of all the WW barring Floyd, Cotto is one who wouldnt be too hurt with a drop, it may actaully help with speed if the the weight taken off correctly

I am a HUGE Cotto fight. But Pac is the wrong kind of fighter for Cotto. He has proven he doesn't do well against the type of constant pressure that the Pacman will bring.

    :good

I don't know, maybe some people have the Hatton fight in mind, saying Cotto doesn't have a chance. But Hatton and Cotto are different fighters, different speed, different tactics, different timing, different size. Imo Cotto stands a pretty good chance to take this, given that it happens at 147 of course.

It will hurt Cotto body badly. Cotto even said weeks ago that fighting at 144 pounds in a catch weight will kill his body. Whyelse Cotto move up to 147 pounds in a first place after the junior ww division? I heard few weeks ago that Cotto was already having trouble making 147 pounds.

Cotto won't ever fight below 147 again, especially against a guy like Pac. Unless he goes only for the money, that is. He stated a long time ago that he isn't comfortable below 147.

That's exactly my point. Like you just said Cotto will only fight below 147 pounds is cause of the money in which will be his biggest pay day. It will suck if it's a catch weight at 144 pounds and i bet after Pacquiao ko Cotto at that bs catch weight, many here will say Pacquiao is the greatest of all times and blah blah garbage. Damn i really hope Marquez beat Mayweather cause his win will be way bigger then any of Pacquiao wins.

Don't want to ruin it for you, but there's no way JMM beats Mayweather. Floyd will most likely win by KO, if he doesn't show signs of ring-rust.

And note that I'm a big JMM fan. It's just that Mayweather is bigger, equally fast (if not faster) and with better defense. If JMM somehow manages to make the final bell (let alone win it), it will be a miracle, imo.

PS: I don't think anyone who takes himself seriously will claim that "Pac is the greatest" if he beats Cotto at 144. I'd love to watch this fight if it takes place at 147 and I think Cotto would have a pretty good chance, but if it's a catchweight it's bad news for Cotto.

Then you haven't read many biased Pacquiao fans or other blind boxing fans cause they already say Pacquiao got the biggest balls cause he's facing bigger fighters no matter if it's weight drain badly fighters. Trust me if the fight is a catch weight of 144 pounds and Pacquiao ko a weight drain Cotto, many and i do mean many here will say Pacquiao "IS THE GREATEST OF ALL TIMES. MOVE OVER ALI CAUSE PACQUIAO JUST SURPASS YOU."

I don't think Marquez has a chance but if he wins it, his win over Mayweather is bigger then any of Pacquiao wins.

Marquez will have to knock Void out to get a split decision. Void has his referee, his venue, his judges, his commentators.

Well, I wouldn't pay too much attention. Note that many here are 15 year old Pac fans, so...

If he manages to win, definitely.

I think the question should be do you really think Pac has a prayer against Cotto?

Cotto destroys Pac in less then 6 rounds.
