    As expected.

Diaz was coming off a win over Morales who is more popular than Judah.

Was the recession in swing when the Diaz fight happened? Not sure that's a valid reason.

Either way though - I'd rather watch Pac vs Diaz any day of the week than have to watch Floyd V Baldomir ever again...

No Mayweather was absolutly the only draw. But doesn't the Undisputed WW title count for some buys. i am admitting that Floyd is the bigger draw then Manny imo. Just don't think the right comparision was made that's all.

It's the perfect comparison. Diaz coming off a win over Morales/Cruz, Baldomir coming off wins over Judah/Gatti.

Diaz' record also looked far better than Baldomir's going into this one.

Do you know that Mayweather/Marquez also made as much as Morales/Pacquiao made?

nah i doubt that. why would hbo come out and admit that one of their biggest superstars can't sell?....that would only further hurt floyd's "money mayweather" reputation. they're trying to help floyd's buzz right now, not hurt it. an injury is the perfect excuse.

Which was the more entertaining fight? Floyd V Baldy or Pac V diaz?

This argument is pretty stupid - Look at Trinidad Vs DLH - It was the highest non HW fight ever or was it Floyd V DLH? Either way - I would MUCH prefer to watch Corales Vs Castillo I any day of the week.

It doesn't matter what's more entertaining, that won't change the numbers.

Doubt it, Wladimir Klitschko is their biggest heavyweight buzz and they weren't shy to turn down hosting the Chagaev fight. If something sucks they will say it sucks, RJJ/Calzaghe was sucking badly leading up to the fight and kept going with it without the need to postpone.

The injury is legitimate till another source confirms otherwise. Bull**** theories do nothing for me.

Scar i am not arguing with you. Floyd is the bigger star. We are in agreement. Just saying Casual fans may be more inclined to order a fight with a lineal title on the line then one without.

As a fan who buys fights selectively - It matters to me!

No one walked out of Pac Diaz either, unlike Tiger Woods from the Baldy fight - I mean, this is a GOLFER - Perhaps the worlds most boring sport and he walked out!

Read that Haye ducked out of the fight with Vlad because of Setanta going bankrupt. Now we are hearing that Void ducked out of the Marquez fight because of ticket sales.

I totally agree that the injury is legit until proven otherwise.

What DOES give it creedence is that Floyd has pretty much said straight up he's coming back for money. If there's not enough interest in the sales then it makes less dollars and therefore sense, to spin Ellebre's phrase.

Still doesn't change the fact that he walked in and didn't reduce the amount of PPV buys it generated. :good

You can't call a fight a success or a failure financally till you see the PPV buys. I think its ludicrous to think he pulled out of the fight because of ticket sales. If there were tickets available the week or even night of the fight the majority of them would be sold before fight night you'd have to believe.
