Mayweather-Marquez postponed

Very true ishy and now the khan fight maybe in doubt due to kotelnik getting a tooth infection.

 

Are the contracts for this fight off to the shredder???? :think

 

Yeah, you expect the odd fight to get postponed every now and then but this is 3 pretty big fights in the space of a month :-(

 

Fighters nowadays compared to the warriors of old are so 'precious' ..
Harry Greb and Joe Frazier used to fight with vision in one eye, Back Injuries, Tooth Aches and these kinds of slight injuries were always affecting fighters, nobody was in perfect shape back then but they gritted they're teeth and thought nothing of it .. It was a different era and the guys from 1900 to 1980 were the true warriors, some of the stories from the 20s/30s and 40s are absolutely inspiring ..

Im probably being harsh on Mayweather and Haye because i dont know the extent of they're injuries but i have a feeling that if a fighter in the 20s had they're injuries they'd just get in the ring and fight .. Nowadays a fighter needs to have the psychological comfort that he is in perfect shape. Also in the glory days they fought so often that it was inevitable that they were never 100% when they entered the ring ..

 

It seems that they all need to be rapped up in cotton wool. I mean the Murray and lawton fight could have easily been called off. I mean I know its not in the same seetings as the other three called off, but the way they train needs to be looked at.

 

This is just a fukin joke now. Who ever is bringing bad luck to boxing please day quietly.

 

What is going on here ?

1st Valuev Chagaev is off
2nd Haye Klitschko is off
3rd Khan kotelnik is virtually off
4th Mayweather Marquez is off.

All in the space of a month. Is something going on here that us people at ESB are clearly oblivious to ? Fighters nowadays just generally seem to show so much disregard to contract its unbelievable.

That wouldnt surprise me, but if it really was postponed due to a rib injury, Mayweather could have had a tough time with whoever he was sparring???
