sweetscience said "moving down in weight is harder than moving up in weight"

that means moving up is hard enough right? right? hope you got that?

so who do you think gets the comfort zone if the fight is made at 147?

Just because moving down didn't work for Jones doesn't mean that it wouldn't work for everybody else. B-Hop looked just fine fighting at a catch weight against Pavlik. :deal

Yea cause he already fought a catch weight at 170 pounds vs Wright lol. Hopkins is always in shape. Cotto is known to have problems making the weight and like i said there was report that he trouble making 147 pounds prior to his fight vs Clottey. If thats the case then how is it fair for Cotto to lose 3 more pounds?

Look what happened to Duran when he moved down, was he the same fighter once he moved up? Yes or No? If its a not then you lost your argument and just proving my point on fighters moving up in weight to fight a legit champ... not some tarver guy.

Theres the difference my friend.. in bold letters. Hopkins must be so great that he accepted a fight against winky at a catchweight then? Unlike Cotto?

Yea Morales 2nd and 3rd fight he was in his prime when Pacquiao tko him right? Barrera was still in his prime and didn't come off his lost when he fought Pacquiao in the rematch right? Come on Barrera and Morales were great fighters but they both ain't in Hagler, Hearns, Leonard level.

Fair is meeting half way. 143.5.

Pac is the man so Cotto should meet his demands and come to 140 if not then meet halfway at 143.5.

If the fight is at 147 Cotto can come into the ring at 160. Pac can't go above 147 (even in the De La Hoya fight he was around 147) That's a huge weight advantage for Cotto.

So B-Hop is the exception to your rule then? Didn't Donaire move down to fight Vic and knocked him out? And btw, Cotto weighed in at 146 against Clottey so 2 more pounds for the biggest payday of his career isn't all that bad of an offer.

Please cut this **** that pacquiao coming from 112 lbs to fight a 147 fighter, pacquiao NOW IS A NATURAL 140 fighter it doesnt matter if he fought at 112 when he was ****ing 17 YEARS OLD, so this is bs... if he want to fight a welter and take a challenge go up to 147 and no more bs catchweight if he thinks he cant he should clean the division in 140 or give the 3rd fight to jmm, I still think styles makes fights and paquaio would kiss cottos ass also at 147 so asking for a catchweight is being a ****ing ***** cherrypicker...

Dude you just lost your arguement again my goodness. Duran move up and beat one of the atg in prime Leonard, went the distance with greats such as Hagler and Hearns. <<<<<After those of course he won't be the same. But it made him as one the best atg fighters. Duran ain't going to take advantage of asking fighters to kill themself to weight a catch weight bs.
