You cant base an analysis off one fight, Zab and Pac have completely different styles.

The only thing they got in common is that they are both left handed but apart from that Pac dont fight like zab

I havent even see Pacquiao throw uppercuts recently to be honest with you and if he has it hasn't been many which is what zab caught Cotto with.

    Cotto took the straight lefts

Cotto at 144 is a joke though,

    Answer me this

Would you pay to see a 20% weight drained as **** Cotto against a prime 100% pacquiao???

they should just have this fight at 147... cotto has to learn how to start enforcing and negotiating better... hes so humble and willing to take on anyone with any circumstances that its going to hurt him in someways... he has to realize manny is not the small guy if he fights at a catchweight... bob arum is just trying to make his money before cotto is gone by the end of the year... he would also need a good team with experience... emmanuel steward come step up and be part of the cotto team...

Pac by KO. Cotto can't deal with Pac's speed nor aggression at this point.

pac already has an 11-12 lb deficit and now, ppl here say that he should also fight at cotto's natural weight of 147?! that's giving cotto too much of an advantage here. nah. if this fight can't happen at a catchweight, then it should just be scratched altogether. but that will deny fans a great fight here.

catchweights are sometimes done to make the most compelling fights out there. that's why dlh and hopkins fought @158 for the middleweight title. and the supposed weight-drained guy and natural middleweight (hopkins) won that fight, right? we also have Whitaker-Chavez, Leonard-Hearns 2, Hopkins-Pavlik, Ayala-Tapia 2, etc. - all catchweight fights. also, we have to remember that pac still hasn't fought a single fight at a catchweight yet.

hmm says... I don't see a clear KO even though they posses the KO power. I see speed and accuracy being the key so Pac on points. Stick and move, in and out... I also see both sustaining cuts but more on Cotto so maybe a TKO?

I brought up the Judah fight as evidence of Cotto walking into the straight left, Pacquiao's best punch. It has nothing to do with comparing Judah to Pac in any other way.

I think Pac is a nightmare for Cotto stylistically as Cotto doesn't fight as well against fighters that are constantly pushing him. It's going to be like fighting a MiniMargarito with faster hands and whose much harder to hit.

Yes, Cotto is susceptible to uppercuts as demonstrated in the Judah, Margarito, and Clottey fights, especially when he freezes with his guard high up like he tends to do. I wonder if this is something Pac and Roach will be working on.

What weight does Cotto walk around at anyway?

I honestly don't know, but for the sake of choosing I'll go with Cotto.

Cotto is past his prime now Imo.. He's still young but he's been in some brutal fights and i think he's past his best..

Id rather see pac fight someone else.
