That's actually a 6-punch combo, left hook to the head, a triple left uppercut (1 to the body, 2 to the head) a right uppercut (missed) and another left hook to the head (blocked). Very impressive.
Obviously its a foul. But Cotto pretty much just picked him up and shrugged him off and Clottey fell in probably the worst possible method anyone could imagine. Its hard to understand how he even managed to fall in such a manner. Cotto didn't slam him by any means, but he did lift his feet off the ground so obviously the outcome of the move was unpredictable and could have ended badly. Funny as hell though.

Well If you have actually seen the fight then you would realise the difference between the two and we wouldnt be have this conversation anymore ...That was a proper, malicious bodyslam...Bernard was seriously injured from it but fought on anyway. Its not even comparable...or are you simply using what boxrec says as evidence here.

He was expecting the right all the time so he ate another 3 lefts in a row. Ironically, despite being cut, he saw the right hand coming and ducked under it. I wonder how many lefts he would've sucked if Clottey keeps them coming.
I saw the fight, that's why I knew about the bodyslam. Great fight, dirty as hell. The important thing is that Echols was docked points for the foul. Two of them. As opposed to zero for Mr. MSG. And it's another reason no one will want to fight him at MSG again.
More generally though, when he gets hit he seems to take an age to get re-set for a counter-attack (Jennings) or a little frozen to the spot, when he seems capable of better in terms of evasiveness. Odd.
Yeah, it's because he crotches into that weird position, but leaves his guard slightly open, plus he has little head movement when he's in close. He may still yet have a chance to fix that at his age. He needs to. It could cost him against someone like Cottey if Clottey had more stamina.
