Pacquiao Dawson Gamboa Mosley Mayweather Marquez Off the top of my head. Clottey throws nice ones, but if he threw more of them, he'd have his name popping up in more than just a "nice combo" thread.
Mayweather, Pac and JMMs combos are all better than Clotters' Clotters is one of these fighters destined never to make it really big. Shame for the guy cause he's good enough
I dont think so . MAybe Gamboa . becuase of his speed. Mayweather throws alot of punches sometimes but is too reluctant to actually put them togehter without a SLIGHT PAUSE to make sure he is safe to throw his next punch. Dawson has some great combos but Clottey has more style with one hand Mosely doesnt put punches toghether that accurately and is mostly wild with combos. Marquez - no but good enough " But if he threw more of them " - seems irrelevant
Hey, I respect Clottey a ton so I like his name coming up in these discussions. :good Mayweather and Marquez are just more technically efficient IMO. A little shorter with their punches, more accurate, and way better at transitioning back to defense. Dawson has better flow. Silly word, but his combos are smooth as hell. Mosley isn't always accurate, but he's more than a shade quicker, and he's quicker two weight classes above his natural weight. It's really the only reason comparing him to Clottey makes any sense. The stuff Mosley and Mayweather put together at lighter weights blows Clottey away.
