Clottey Getting Knocked Down By A Jab = Disgrace

either way off balance or not. it counted. clottey didnt knock down cotto at all. seems that clottey would have had to knocked down cotto twice for him to win the fight on the cards. because outboxing cotto for 9 rds didnt make an impression on the judges at all. one of the judges scored it 116-111, this guy must have been playing his nintendo ds while the fight was going on. cotto showed alot of heart in this fight.

 

That really is disgraceful. I would hang up the gloves and look for a new job if i got knocked down on my ass by a weak jab.. This ****in clottey guy..

He's not only a lier, a cheater, B level fighter, and a sore loser, but he's also a weak chinned mutha****er.

I still remember when Brewster made Wlads knees buckle and caused him to have an panic attack in the 3rd round of their first round because of a jab, RJJ even laughed at his glass chin that night. Saying something along the lines of "He wouldn't want to face me with a chin like that".

That comment was made right before he faced Tarver the second time, so I guess he didn't know that his chin was that weak yet.

 

lol, all you guys hating on clottey for going down.... You try to lunge in with all your weight throwing a punch and have someone stop you with a solid jab(with his power hand since hes lefthanded). THat **** hurts like a mother****er. If youve boxed before you know that.

 

Not getting KD knocked down by a Jab, but getting caught off balanced, yes. And that was clearly what happened. He was coming in just as Miguel was throwing the jab. Josh was caught with is feet and body squared up.....the jab was a good one but the effect of Josh being KD was more of him getting caught in a bad position more than the jab. You are really harsh if you feel that is a "disgrace".....Especially when there are things like steriods, allegations of fighters with plaster and corrupt officials in the game.

 

So I guess Cotto is just above Josh who is a "B level fighter"?. After all that B level fighter gave Cotto a lot of problems and made a case for many that he beat Miguel. I thought Cotto won but Josh could have easily gotten that decision depending on who the judges were and at what venue the fight took place. I do agree he didn't conduct himself as a champion would during the fight which is part of the reason I felt Cotto deserved the "W".....but Josh is far from a "B level fighter" unless you consider Cotto along the same lines. I won't even mention your chin comment given the fact that Cotto has real power and never hurt Josh in the fight.
