This is going to be a great fight and possible FOTY candidate.
It seems as if Pac is the favorite going into this fight by many but i can see that if Cotto wins he just beat a smaller man.
Is Cotto in a lose-lose situation? (Financially it obviously isnt)

Great credit for spending his entire purse on bribing the judges.

Ad far as ESB is concerned most fights for Cotto are lose-lose. He got a good decision against a very tough highly ranked opponent who was a belt holder and he gets no credit for the win. A lot of people are saying Clottey was robbed and even those who aren't complaining with the decision say Cotto is washed up. There is another thread on here thta claims Cotto would lose against the rest of the best. One of them being Mosley who he already beat before. PAC is a really good fighter but Cotto is too big and too strong. Those of you that are saying PAC has more power are crazy. It would be a good fight but probably end very similarlly to the Judah fight. Not saying PAC isn't better than Judah but Cotto has proven he could handle fast hands and decent power.

Fighting Pacquiao is a lose lose proposition for any top welter right now. You beat him and you cherry picked a smaller fighter, he beats you and you lost to the small fighter that you tried to cherry pick. This isn't just the case for Cotto anyone else would have the same problem including Mosley and Floyd

All the credit in the world....especailly if it's at 140 or even a catch weight. At 147 still a great win but that looses some of its value. No matter what PAC is always going to be the smaller guy but that shouldn't be an excuse should Cotto win based on PAC being a legitimate GREAT fighter who is still active and in his OVERALL Prime...physically and through experience PAC is at his best....he may still be improving but soon his phsyical prime will begin to slide, when???? Who knows but the man is in his 30s now.

    Plenty, considering it's a 50/50 at 147.
