Yeah I was out there.... sitting in the 100's right infront of the ghana contingent... about 50 crazy Ghanians waving flags and doing african chants.... all in all it was a good time

As a fan the score cards were extremely confusing... depending on where you were sitting.... from my distance i was under the impression that cotto would win by like 3 or 4 rounds but two cards were really split apart and one was basically a tie

everytime cotto woudl fart the crowd would go insane....the crowd was so loud i couldnt hear the national anthems of either clottey or cotto or mich so it was tough to tell what was landing for cotto & what wasnt.... especially because of clotteys defense..

im about to watch the fight on youtube to get another opinion on it.... seemed like a lot of people felt it was a robbery thoguh

my observations from what i could tell

    - clottey would have had the fight in a bag EASILY if he let his hands go more often
    - clottey slipt a lot
    - clottey is a fan of soccer so im sure the over exageration on the flip & back of the head punch were results of his soccer up bringing
    - the 7th round on looked like a repeat of margarito vs cotto except clottey never stepped on the gas
    - it seemed as if cotto had a chance to finish clottey one time in the corner but he didnt step on the gas
    - it seemed as if clottey had CHANCES to finish cotto but he never stepped on the gas
    - clottey confused me in the 6th round when he just sat in the corner the whole time

ill type more as i remember

it was fun as hell ... in either the 8th or 9th round... there was a big ass fight resulting from all the crazy ghana fans and puerto rican fans.... i couldnt see much but a lot of arms swinging... and about 50 security guards running up a couple sections behind me

I agree that Clottey could've won had he stepped on the gas and let his hands go more, he was more effective but just didn't do enough and Cotto should've stopped him when he lay on the ropes for the entire round. Imagine if Clottey did that against Mosley, Mosley would've knocked him into next week.

I think that the reason you didn't hear the anthems was because they weren't allowed for the fight.
At least not on the HBO telecast.

I was there too. It started from some big Puerto Rican guy, probably drunk as hell, landing a haymaker on one of those Ghanaians running around with a flag.

    It was pretty crazy. :yep

i really wasnt paying much attention.... aside from who they showed on the jumbo tron joint... i didnt really watch... oh yeah the crowd went crazy when pacman showed up... i definitely caught that

see i wasnt sure though.... in person it looked like cotto was abusing him but i figured clottey was blocking a lot of those punches... there was only 2 or 3 times i noticed clotteys head really jerk from the result of a punch

no they had the pr anthem & the ghana anthem.... right before the fighters came out but the goddamn crowd was rediculous

LMAO!!! yo that **** was rediculous... i kept trying to turn my head to catch the fight in the crowd & the real fight.. i knew that **** was going to happen tho.... the ghana fans really bought a lot of energy

another thing that was strange to me.... i figured clottey would stalk cotto more because i never felt cotto would succeed getting through clottey's defense which would give clottey more opportunities to counter... when clottey did that he was successful but he let up rounds when he didnt really stalk...

figured i'd see more of that and i didnt

Wish I was there live! I scored the fight 115-113. OOPS! 115-112 because Clottey was dropped in round 1 by a Cotto JAB! After rd 10, I had it 5 rds a piece. I had Cotto winning the 11th bcuz he mixed it up downstairs and upstairs with some hard shots. Clottey did some good work, but held back for some reason. The 12th I gave to Miguel. MC impressed me. He was cut early in a bad place by a butt and continued to soldier on w/o any excuses. Also, he had family problems. I knew he was special. He's very good. Yes, he has flaws, but he's a classy pugilist. He's mentally very sound, a real hombre!

**** was the truth... the card all together kind of sucked... the first fight was entertaining but i missed the first half of it.. the 2nd fight was decent.... iron boy ****ing sucks... i hope he loses soon..... im in no rush to see a flyweight pauli maligganggi (33-0 6ko's.. **** THAT... he holds ALOT!) korobov was eh... but the main event made up for it... I could barely hear my self talk

yeah i dont know it was hard to make sense of what was going on because cotto would land a blocked shot but the crowd would still go nuts over it....

im watching the fight on youtube now and doing my own score card

Now Clottey...what a gifted fighter! Speed, good power, combination punching, footwork, agility...
Now if Joshua had the temperament of his countryman, IKE QUARTEY...imagine! JC possesses a better chin that Quartey, but he's more passive and prefers a less risky approach from his high guard.

Clottey should learn to move his damn head, I don't know why he wants to absorb everything. I had him winning but a lot of the rounds were very close. Cotto needs to not be so cautious too in my opinion.
