I dont think that a 9-9 round is acceptable. If you felt Clottey got the better of the round to a large extent then it should have scored 10-9 Cotto.
What? How would that be 10-9? I have Cotto losing the round but Clottey losing a point for being KDed 9-9
10 point MUST system, the winner must get 10 points, unless he is deducted a point by the refferee. I scored it 10-9 to Cotto.
When a situation like that occurs it's customary to score it 10-9 for the figher who scored the knockdown. That's the way it works in a 10 point must system. Surprised you didn't know that by now.
The only way a knockdown should be negated is when a fighter dominates a round (which Clottey did not) where he just so happens to go down. The round was virtually even and Clottey tasted canvas, flash knockdown or not. 10-8 Cotto.
My fault. 10-9 for Cotto. I've only seen the highlights before the scores were given and the first round. An some gifs on the board. I was busy the night of the fight and got busy when I went to watch it and score it.
so the winner of the round has to get 10 points? that would support the 10-8 round... IN MY OPINION! clottey CLEARLY won the round.... alot of cotto's punches didnt land and clotteys did.. IN MY OPINION! i thought that as i was at that fight & have the same view seeing the fight on my computer
If you legitemately thought Clottey won the round then the best it could have been for him is losing a 10-9 round to Cotto. You need to learn how to score a round in the 10 point must system too, young buck.
I don't see how you can say he clearly won it.The difference between clearly winning and razor thin is the difference between the 1st and the 6th.
If Clottey was winning the round then he gets 10 Cotto 9, SO Clottey 10 minus kd = 9 , Cotto 9 so it could be 9-9.......**** wait....:blood ok yeah i just confused myself:nut
