Roy Jones is not a good pick at 160 IMO. He had something in the region of 25 fights at the weight - and he was moved on slowly because his father was overprotective, so the first 15 of those were against real stiffs. Jones has a tough style, but i'd be pretty confident picking the really good middles to beat him.

I might be tempted to go for Robinson at 160 as well as 147 and 154, actually - but Monzon is probably the definitive pick at the weight.

    130 - Floyd Mayweather Jr
    135 - Roberto Duran
    140 - Pernell Whittaker
    147 - Sugar Ray Robinson
154 - (where he would have fought) Sugar Ray Robinson
    160 -Hagler ('83-86)
    168 - Roy Jones Jr
    175 - Ezzard Charles
    190 - Evander Holyfield
HW - Ali (from Zora Folley Fight)

Ali got beaten in his prime, also if you look at the guys he was fighting, none of them had size, movement and power - size and power? Yes, but you can't call Joe Frazier a quick fighter, nor a defensive genius - nor George Foreman.

Tyson - well, sure, I can get behind that - the guy never got beaten in his prime, but his prime was very very short. I also think guys like Lennox would have given him issues in his prime regardless due to the height difference.

Ali gets his rating through dominating in an era where a few notable boxers existed, the man is lesser than the legend.

    WW - Sugar Ray Robinson
    CW - Evander Holyfield

these picks cannot be argued against.

    i say Holmes/Lewis for HW

Ali was never beaten in his prime. Only guy to come CLOSE was doug jones and he was still green at the time.

He got his rep by dominating the greatest era of heavies AFTER his physical prime through skill and will.

Tyson H2H comes up close after, with Holmes era 81

The reason I place Roy Jones Jr at 160 is because he was the perfect combination of speed, power and movement. I think he is the definite 160 and 168 choice, he beat difficult guys there who mattered (James Toney and Bernard Hopkins)

I can see Spinks being put ahead of Jones Jr at 175, don't really object to that at all, Spinks was a killer at that weight, I still think in his absolute prime (which was somewhere just after the Toney fight) - Jones Jr would have beaten Spinks up.

I know Tyson is light years ahead of Jones Jr in power, but not so much so that if Tyson could do it in such short time, Jones could have done it in 6 to 8.

Joe Frazier in 1971 wasn't Ali's prime? Most of his big, most well known victrories came after the first Frazier fight.

Prime isn't just physical - hell, take a look at Hopkins - physical prime was probably 1994 - actual prime was 1998-2004.

Go review tape of Frazier in any of his fights prior to 1970. The guy was a big, mean ******* - but he wasn't a speedster, nor was he slick.

All Sanders had to do is come forward and hit him with his bombs and Wlad hit the ground... and all Brewster and Purity had to do is march forward and take Wlad's punches and he also fell to the ground. Don't know about you, but taht doesn't seem like an incredibly hard guy to beat to me.

You'd at least have to use some strategy to beat the rest of the heavyweight all-time greats.

WW - Mayorga would smoke a cig after taxing Robinson's ASS.

CW - David Haye. It would be like a scene from THE MATRIX if he ever fought Holyfield.
