if this happens, who you got? I personally think Bradley takes it. Nate's age and inactivity have a big impact in this one i think and then theres the weight but i dont see this as such a big problem.
Yeah, I think Nate's age and inactivity will hurt him. I got Bradley as well. But I've only watched a few of their fights.
I like Bradley at this point, but Nate is a very live dog. I think he could put pressure on Bradley like he's never felt before. Don't forget, the only top level fighters Bradley has faced are Witter and Holt, and both of them are low workrate fighters who hang on the outside. Nate will do his best to push Bradley out of his comfort zone. I can't remember against who, but I remember Bradley getting into trouble one round against a joruneyman pressure fighter on Shobox, and Nate is no journeyman, and can apply pressure if he wants to. It's just a question of whether his chin will hold up enough at 140 for him to really do so.
I agree. Nate looked pretty bad in his last fight. I mean he hurt that guy alot and didnt have enough in the tank to finish him. I like Bradley if they fight, even though I dont think that highly of Bradley.
Bradley is better than given credit for. I think Nate is in deep with this guy I'm a big fan of both, can't wait to see the fight
Easy to pick Bradley much younger and faster Nate looked old last time he ate lots of leather from a feather fisted fighter. Bradley quick pace will be too much for Nate.
Nate killed himself trying to make weight. I think it's safe to say he was weight drained. I'm still not sold on Bradley. I think Nate beats him using his experience and a mean body attack.
I think Bradley wins a close fight somewhat similar to the Holt fight but Nate will test him even more.
This is a very interesting fight. I have a lot of respect for both of these fighters, I like them both as athletes and from what I know of them through the media, as people. Campbell is one of my favorites so I am rooting for him. I don't think age or inactivity will hurt him. He is a gym rat and a dedicated fighter, despite not making wait for Funeka. I agree that he may have been affected by attempting to make weight vs Funeka, and he still came out on top in a very close fight, even knocking down Funeka twice, if I recall correctly. Also, Funeka is huge, and Nate has trouble with big guys, like he did vs Hlatshwayo who is now a welterweight. I think the higher weight of 140 is going to give us a better Nate Cambell and although Bradley presents a tough fight, he is smaller than Nate, so Nate won't have the size problem he had with Funeka. That being said, Holt pretty much shut out Hlatshwayo at 140 and Bradley did enough to beat Holt.....and Witter. This may not mean much though. Who was the fighter that bothered Bradley? I have a feeling that the judges are going to favor Bradley in this fight, being that he is a young marketable nice good guy champion and Nate is 37 and Nate is well, Nate.....so for Nate to win, he may need to win by a good margin to eke out a close decision. But, something tells me that Campbell has hit a certain stride in his career and his training. I have bought in to the way that he talks about it and the different things he practices. I remember how confident he was, willing to fight an over the weight Guzman. Bradley may be a very good fighter who can adapt, but Nate, I think, when at his best, shows flashes of brilliance. Something tells me he is going to get at least one knock down vs Bradley. Maybe everything I am writing is based on emotions and wanting Nate to win. I am going to have to find some deeper and more sound reasons to bet Nate before I make a wager. Bradley is no joke
Not sure yet but I'm going with Bradley so far, can't wait for the fight to get closer to make a final pick. Bradley is very underrated and willing to fight all.
