He will probably never be an ATG but in this era he is a very good and game fighter. He is skilled, always comes to fight, never complaints, fights the best, has heart and his fights are always entertaining. He has the mentality every boxer should have. Win or Lose I don't care, I prefer to have a fighter like him than an undefeated fighter who's talking **** but not backing it up. This thread is stupid.

    True.
He is TOO open for the uppercuts. His team has to have noticed it by now but do nothing about it. ROach would work sessions just on defending the uppercut.

He just needs some tweaks cus offensively he is pretty much complete but it dont mean anything without that thing you said: Mojo.
It needs to be where it was around the Mosley fight.

i`m hoping this win will give him that confidence. I think going the distance and actually improving will be the best thing for him! A new trainer will give him that spark as well....

a new trainer and i think we may see Cotto give Pacquaio a serious run for his money....

He's very good but in my opinion Miguel Cotto is not a top 10 p4p boxer.

He is great. He became champ early and defended his lighter welter title several times against really good opponents. His welterweight career has been a little shaky but still impressive considering who he has fought already. A win over someone like Pacquiao or Mayweather would definitely make him an ATG.

I'm a Cotto fan. I was rooting for him against Clottey (not that I don't like Clottey too). But, yes, he's been blown out of proportion by HBO and his fanbase. He has huge heart and very good offensive technique, but his defense is suspect, and he has flaws that he doesn't seem able to correct. That said, he's a warrior, fearless, and deserves all the respect he gets.

I'm a fan of his and admit he was always overrated here. He's a good fighter but not the "beast" people were claiming he was when he was undefeated and if anyone tried to argue with that the majority of his fans would go berserk. Now that he lost he's "shot" all of a sudden at the age of 28 despite previous warnings about the flaws in his fighting style.
