Lets assume Mundine didnt run from Kessler. And lets just assume hypothetically that he ended up beating Kessler (maybe lets just assume the JC fight destroyed Kess mentally like Lacy). Then being SMW champ (at that time) he could have fought Froch. Mundine would likely have beaten the highly overrated Froch (who ive never held in high esteem). That really wouldnt have done much for his legacy. Then... even a win over Bute and Bika wouldnt have been the stuff of legends... Lets then say to finish off his career he moved up to LHW (instead of down). Knowing Mundine he would have taken on Erdei and Maybe beat Green in a 2nd showdown. Still nothing that would be legendary. He would then be remembered as a "Good" champ at best.

Now he's got little chance of even that...

Unfortunately there are very very few genuine boxing fans in Australia who knows whats what and who's who in the world of boxing. The genuine fans realise that Anthony has never been a world champion even though he claims to be a 2 weight 3 time world champ. He's always been a talented guy who has never proven anything at the top level in the world of boxing. Deep down he knows this, his dad knows this, the genuine boxing fans out there know this which is what is important. Good luck to Anthony if he wishes to proclaim his boxing greatness to those gullible enough to believe it.It's quite funny really, mostly smoke and mirrors.

Its going to get worse mate.....Sturm will take a fight in the next 10 months with AA or PAV creating a super champ and a shot for Mundine at the regular title vs Silvester or Grevor....4 time world champ baby :yep

History will not be kind to Anthony. The bottom line is that in 20 yrs time rugby league people will view him as a good first grader who played at that level for 5 or 6 yrs and never achieved elite representative status, therefore easily forgotten in the rugby league world as the years roll on. The boxing world will view Anthony as a guy who appeared talented but both times he stepped up to the highest level he was very easily beaten. They will then flicked through Anthony's resume and discover that he really did absolutely nothing at the top level. His best win being over an easily forgotten Danny Green who wasn't much chop at the top level himself. Anthony still has all of his wins over smaller cab drivers though to look back on.
