Pac is apparently serious in pursuing his political ambition, I think he will be good for no more than 2 fights before he starts his political campaign in early 2010.
Cotto who weigh-in at 146 LBS cannot sacrifice 1 or 2 lbs to make the fight against a fighter who had ONE fight at 135, ONE fight at 147 and ONE fight at 140. Hell be moving for 4 or 5 lbs to compete with WW's when just a few months ago he weigh-in at 138 lbs HAVING A FULL MEAL for a 140 lbs fight. Havent even settled at a proper weight class since moving up from SFW. These FACTS seem to have escaped people around here. I hate it when these self proclaimed SAVIOUR and BOXING PURIST preach like wanna be ***s when just a year ago 135 lbs was said to be pac's max fighting weight.
In fairness, from the very beginning, didn't Roach and Pac say the fight at 147 with De La Hoya was a one time deal, and that he was moving back down after that? Again, Pac is clearly the one in the driver's seat here. I see no problem with that.
So if Cotto is unwilling to meet Pac at 144, then **** him. Mosley has already stated he would be more than happy to move down and fight Pacquiao. :smoke
I wish that he'd fight him too but lets be honest....Team Pac is not too sure of their chances. Size. speed and skill-wise, Mosley is better than Cotto (at the moment). PBF might be more skilled, but he wouldn't hurt Pac. Not the way Mosley would. And their real target here is PBF, too much $$$ to pass up so they wouldn't risk it by fighting Mosley before PBF. But if PAC wins the fight with PBF, i want him to go to Mosley and go for the glory.
