Marquez vs. Bradley at 140 for the original date - Why not?

So Floyd is injured and fight is gonna get rescheduled. But as Wlad, Marquez could stick to the original date and venue and fight an interim opponent, obviously on regular HBO. Tim Bradley, the unified LWW titleholder is looking for an opponent for the Summer, and if there's a champ at 140 who doesn't have the one-punch danger vs. the small Mexican, it's Bradley.

Look, I'm all against JMM moving up anywhere, especially facing Floyd at WW, it's too much. But if that's the fight we're gonna get and there's an opportunity to take on an interim fight for a world title belt in his 4th division - that's what Morales and Barrera were aiming for - he should take it, and the Floyd fight can happen at the end of the year.

I realize that this fight is not being discussed and there's almost no chance of happening. But think twice: it'd be an excellent interim fight in a division between Marquez' and Floyd's weight, JMM wouldn't have to throw his current training camp away and although it's a risky move, but for pretty high rewards (historical 4th division title).

    Richard, are you reading this?

Good fight if Bradley is available. Bradley's not the biggest 140lber and it would be another title in another division for JMM if he could pull off the win. On the other hand, a win for Bradley would push him into the limelight.

I think Marquez would lose. I think that he knows, or his people know, there is a good chance he would lose.

Of course, he would also be likely to lose to Mayweather, but for mega-money and with no shame attatched (though he won't get Pacquiao if he loses unless Pacquiao also loses IMO), but if Bradley wins, he doesn't get Pacquiao and he doesn't get Mayweather. It's to much off him in terms of shine. Because of name recognition he would be losing a fight that most fans would expect him to win.

    Not a good idea IMO.

Dude do you know the differents between postpone and cancel? Postponed is a fight that will be reschedule in which Mayweather and Marquez can't fight anybodyelse until they face each other. If that fight was cancel like the one in Wlad vs Haye, then Marquez can fight whoever like the Bradley fight but i hear Bradley already is schedule to fight Campbell.

Bradley Vs. Marquez would be a great fight.
Post Hatton, he is the man @ 140lbs.
(Pac is not looking to defend 140lbs so kill the noise before it starts...)

Bradley-JMM would be a war and I would like to see it if PBF-JMM doesn't come off. JMM would be a player at 140 with Bradley's belts if he wins and Pac couldn't really ignore him if he did so.

:good I actually like this fight. Would be a great way for Marquez to test the waters at 140.

bradley would come running forward trying to get inside, and he would be a sitting duck to marquez counter-shots....marquez by wide decision or possible stoppage.

Bradley is fighting Campbell in August if you believe the rumors. JMM and PBF are still fighting one another at a new date.

JMM won't take this fight because it would be stupid fiscally.
