Damn lol Cotto is no Buick. He has decent speed when he lets his hands go and doesn't sit on his punches.
Smaller fighters have also make Manny look vulnerable. I am not saying Cotto will destroy him. But I am sure as hell he has a great chance. His training and fight plan will be key. I think he needs to improve stamina and push Manny back during the fight.
Well, thats you opinion. I think he won 1 very easily. He lost 2nd. But his defense was pretty good. I mean, for Cotto. Manny's defense is not all that great either.

To me, it seems like Cotto never has fight plan. hes just goes in there and does what he does best. the only problem is, Pacquiao doesnt go foward and we knows Cotto can come foward or go backwards. I will say Cotto has a very slim chance at best.
Pac will kill Cotto in any night of your dreams!!! Cotto will overwhelm Pacman..... Morales, Marquez gave him more than he could handle.... Cotto is much stronger and better boxer than Morales and will punish Pacman more than marquez could....especially with the body attackage!!!!
You are right....if you notice Cotto always says before the fight...I didn't watch videos of his fights ....in fact he didn't even know what Jennings looked like up until the press conference.
When Cotto began his career he was a good counterpuncher. He just started changing his style to being more aggressive after the Victoriano Sosa fight. And while as a boxing fan I love his aggressive style I also think that is what would be his undoing if he keeps fighting like this.
Wow I can't belieive Jeff said that Morales can make Pacman pay for mistakes but Cotto can't. Skinny ass Morales can hurt Manny but Cotto can't? I don't think Cotto beats Manny right now, I think he's at a different level. But that comment was a little ridiculous. Cotto has defeated fighters with every style while Morales couldn't beat Raheem.
keep in mind morales was on the decline when he lost to raheem and even beat manny, he wasnt shot yet, but on the decline, manny has improved since.....and no way in hell is cotto smarter then a erik morales....or marquez for that matter
Cmon now Cotto is no worse now than he was a few years ago. He is what he always was. A vulnerable fighter with good skills and a lot of heart. The only thing is he has stepped up his competition, and the guys are bigger than 140. You guys are acting like he just started to eat leather or was some master boxer. The dude has been hurt on numerous occasions and dropped on numerous occasions.
Captian, you know this isnt the same Pac. he was a one handed fighter back then. and it will be hard to hit the body when Pacquiao just keeps moving around. When I watch Cotto and Pacquiao fight, it seems to me Pacquiao has got way better and Cotto is still the same fighter...which isnt bad, but when you keep getting hurt like everfight its gonna catch up to you
I don't put him above Marquez but I do put him over Morales. They both go into warrior mode and forget their gameplan. If Morales wouldn't have gotten all crazy against Barrera he probably would have beaten him with height and reach since they were both pretty much equal every where else. I put Cotto right there with Morales.
