Cotto: It was my duty to finish the fight!

Marciano's nose was sliced open to the bone by Ezzard Charles in the 6th in 1954, Sept 17, NYC, and his left eye was cut too. Marciano was told by the doctor he'd be pulled out after one more round. Long-time Undefeated HWT Champ late Rocky Marciano finished the fight as it was his duty by landing several monster blows on Charles who collapsed by a left hook and for the full count, 24 seconds short of salvation.

Cotto's cut was bleeding into his eye but it's not the same.

Scratch! Lol. Cotto finished the fight because he's a warrior and a hard *******. If he would have chosen to quit there and then he knew he would have won but fought on regardless rather than shortchange the fans. He had absolutely nothing to gain by fightin on other than pride. **** the ABC titles, that's a champion in my eyes.

Judah woulda quit the fight in the 1st in anticipation of the cut and then blamed it on a doctor stoppage.

Miguel Cotto isn't getting nearly enough credit for what he achieved on Saturday night. I'll spell it out for the ones who have no idea.

Cotto just beat one of the best 147lb fighters in a tough division with one eye from the 4th round onwards.
