Sigh. Market forces, not age, determine what he will get in a fight. There are many multi million dollar fights waiting for him. HBO will pony up big bucks for Shane/Paul. I seriously think that is the best he will be able to do.

That statement I can accept. Just looks like Pac and PBF won't happen anytime soon, if at all. And to fight Pac he would have to drain his ass way down to Roach's liking. Not sure he will get a better purse than he would fighting Williams right now either. He wouldn't be the draw in that fight.

His potential earnings are much greater if he steers clear of Paul. It's a risky match-up that can potentially quash prospective career paydays with both Pacquiao and Mayweather.

    How can you deny this?

Never denied that. I'm saying no one gives a flying **** about his age when it comes to making fights. I don't see Pac happening regardless. Maybe Mayweather down the line if he makes it to 40.

Well, if you're suggesting that Shane's age is not a factor in him determining his next opponent, I think that's naive.

If you're saying something else, I'm hard pressed to see how it applies to what I was saying. A point I assume you concede.

This my friends is absolutely CRAZY - I have NEVER seen anything like this done in professional boxing ... Especially from a WBC Champ.

People forget that Shane turned down PBF a few years back.

It's all set up for 38 yr old Mosley to fight floyd now. It's the fight that boxing fans want, as a prelude to Cotto-Pac winner.

but as usual bitchweather, knows Mosley is too risky of a fight as has thus ducked it.

Shame too because this era of welters - with Cotto, Margarito, Mosley, Floyd, Pac, Williams - could exceed the Duran, Leonard, Hearns, Benitez, Cuevas golden age. Blame it all on fraud bitchweather for stalling this era from exploding into something really special.

He can give Margarito a rematch. Margarito wants a rematch. He did not train for the first fight, which is the reason Margarito is so confident of winning.
