I really think this novice Santiago in the Cotto corner is a huge liability.Cotto looked sharper and displayed greater skill vs Margacreto. It may have been the cut, or that Clottey is just a tough customer, regardless Cotto put this guy on his ass with a jab. Watch the replay he was not off balance. Clottey is not indestructable, yet Cotto's movement was sluggish.Cotto needs an elite trainer, a Manny Steward or Teddy Atlas. Im going with Atlas, this is what Cotto needs. Who do you guys think could do the job, who is avaliable?

Manny Steward has already put in his resume and cover letter. Supposedly.

There are rumors that Emmanuel Steward is going to train Cotto so we have to see how that will turn out.

I could see that working, as long as Cotto is capable of following instructions and is capable of adding some new tricks to his arsenal.

I wish the best for him...he's got what it takes...just needs to fix a few things.

Steward is only good with boxers who are tall for their weight class.

Honestly don't know much about trainers but he needs a professional conditioning coach - work on his stamina and a defensive specialist to guide him and try to teach him some better defense even though I don't think Cotto can better his defense - it's in his blood quite honestly. His offense is fine.

Floyd Sr. is sucha bandwagon statement.

He's strictly great with boxers. He's a great boxer's trainer. He would be best matched with Berto IMHO from all the WW.

Cotto needs a guy to give him a few tricks, but moreso build a good gameplan. On top of a conditioning coach.

Someone in the sense of Roach or Nazim would be good...but the language barrier would be a *****.

Evangelista was his best match as a trainer in his corner, but not in the gym...theyre differences ****ed them up.

Im not sure who WOULD be good for Cotto...
