He needs to be calling for a Cotto fight right now. He needs to turn the tables and instead of saying no MSG, he ought to DEMAND its at MSG. Sure, if its extremely close he will likely lose on the cards, but he needs to take that risk.

Pac and Floyd are a no go. I doubt Marquez will fight him. Berto won't either.
He doesn't want to try PW and the Cotto money will be much bigger and the risk lower.

hmm says... dumbass is too harsh. Like what other previous posters said, he wants the big fights since he's getting up there and perhaps getting close to retirement. You also can't really blame him for not being able to get dibs on Cotto either since he's not in Top Rank. For a sure fight, he perhaps should look to an available pool in GBP/WW to keep him occupied instead remaining inactive in hopes of landing elite fighters in a certain order which has a slim chance in hell of happening (Pac, then PBF, then Cotto?).

Mosley's made some risky decisions that were unsuccessful in the end (Wright 2x, Forrest rematch, Cotto) but the fans can't have it both ways.

If he didn't fight them you'd call him a ducker, which of course, he has not and will not ever be (He, Tito, and Morales were the three fighters with the biggest balls in the 90s and better part of this decade.)

And to the poster who said he'll never be the legend Marquez is...are you serious? JMM is one of the best fighters of this decade, but unless he beats Mayweather (if the fight ever goes down) or wins convincingly in a third fight with Pacquiao (again, if the fight ever goes down), when we compare his resume with the Top 100 ever, he's gonna be lumped in the same category as solid P4Pers like Kostya Tszyu. Great but not ATG enough to make that list.

Marquez has only beaten one Hall of Famer (Barrera) who was well past his prime, and the other Hall of Famer he's fought, he's drawn with once and lost once. Not exactly legendary material when you compare his resume with a guy whose beaten a HOF in De La Hoya (twice, and both times in DLH's prime), Vargas twice, Leija, Collazo, and the #1 welter in the world in his prime (Margarito), which I guess you can try to match with Marquez's win over Diaz or Casamayor, but not really, since neither of them was even close to P4P Top 15 when they fought. (Margo was Top 10). To add further fuel to this fire, Marquez fought for the #1 featherweight spot twice and was denied both times (draw with Pac and loss to John).

And finally, Mosley has been P4P #1 before. He has been to the pinnacle of the sport. Marquez is close but has not accomplished that yet. So while he has time to write another chapter, to compare JMM's career to Mosley's is ludicrous.

hmm says... I did not contradict myself. I'm suggesting what he should do since it's a fact that he wants Pac, then PBF, then Cotto, etc. in that order (big fights). I'm not saying he should wait for these big fights cause in my mind he'll be waiting for who knows when and questioning when he'll fight and with whom. (Pac-Cotto Nov., PBF-JMM Sept., and we don't know what will happen next... It could be Pac-PBF next and his ass will still be waiting for them). It's not a good idea to stay inactive while waiting around for these big match-ups to happen (you don't use it you lose it and his age doesn't help).. Perhaps going after top contenders. Hence this thread and ppl on ESB criticizing Mosley.

Yes, he a bit of an imbecile. He's never been the greatest of businessmen.

Back after he had his greatest victory over De La Hoya he spent the time fighting nobodies for a while till he ran into Vernon Forrest and lost... then after the second De La Hoya fight instead of opting for a third big money fight with Oscar what does he do? He instead took on Winky for much less money and got his ass handed to him. Not very smart moves by Mosley at all, and now the lying, cheating, steroid freak is stuck with no fight from anyone like the ***** deserves. :verysad

Oh well, you always get what's coming to you.

Why? He dominated him winning every round and stopped him. There is NO need for a rematch, please.

Mosley is 37 and about to retire, he has paid his dues and deserves a big fight with Pac, PBF or Cotto.

    Williams vs. Mosley at 154.

Shutup or Put up Shane time is running out.

I'd love to see him fight again.

Berto: For the time being Berto is a nobody- he is an incredibly talented fighter but not a draw for Sugar Shane. I'd like to see the fight but I am fairly confident that it won't happen. Stranger things have happened though- Mosley may be forced to take it.

Cotto: I seem to remember just days ago Mosley giving an interview saying he'd take a rematch with Cotto but he would rather fight Pacqiuao or PBF at this time. I don't think you can claim that he is ducking Cotto, he just knows there is more money elsewhere. If Cotto does fight Pacqiuao then this rematch is out the window as well.

Williams: I agree with you on this one but Mosley isn't the only person ducking 'the Punisher' out there. I'll be very suprised if Williams fights at 147 in the immediate future- nobody wants him- and who could blame them? High risk for little reward.

Face facts- rightly or wrongly fighters fight where the money is. At the moment there are only two fighters out there who can make the kind of money that Mosley is after: Pacman and PBF. The rest are not even on Mosley's radar. A shitter for us fans but, unfortunately, that's the way boxing is.

He even fought cotto (WHICH I BELIEVE HE WON STILL TO THIS DAY **** YALL). he deserves a manny fight. more than anyonen.
