Thanks for that mate i missed it on tv. I actually might take back a bit of what i said about green when he retired from retirement, that he was a bull**** artist and using the public for money and no better than mundine and all that. It seems as though he's actually fighting for something more than money, maybe, i know the bloke he's taking on for the ibo isnt top ten p4p or anything, but he has a similar record to green and can throw a dangerous punch or two, so he's not a punching bag. I know roy jones is way past he's best, but hey, green is 36, he's no spring chicken, and jones wouldnt be a walk in the park for anyone really. Good on him for bringing a big name to aus, it will do boxing in australia good, as so far as a bit of notice and publicity. I just wish there was more media on the aussie local boxing scene, but hey if it's gonna happen it has to start with big names like this. I just worry a little that green, and roy jones, are looking past their upcoming fights a bit too much, it only takes one second to knock out an unfocused fighter, and that could be either of them. But **** it, i hope the fight comes off, it will only do good, and i know that everyone won't agree, but you can't please em all hey.

Why Green? That's an interesting choice. There are a lot of names out there with better recognition and with a lower risk. Roy's not done yet, but Green is a vicious puncher, really not the type of fighter Jones should be facing at this stage of his career.

man i remember what war adamek and green had a couple of years ago, real tough dude. his face was practically crimson after that cut. if he's even half of that fighter, he'd give rjj problems.

EDIT: that was briggs not green who fought adamek.

very sad to see one of the greatest of all time talk trash with such an average fighter.

Shows you the level Jones has been operating for the last 5 years,

jones ill find it tough with green who is a similar type of come forward fighter to a Michelzewski. Close fight at this stage. Green would have been a sparring partner in his prime.

thats always been rjj's MO. this was a guy who in the ring would come at a cop with his hands down, or throw a behind the back punch out of nowhere against a garbage man. he was never "above" his opponents level when it came to taunting.

Yeah Paul Briggs is the guy who faced Adamek twice, Green knocked out Eric Lucas in Montreal.

Why is Roy still fighting? And why Green? Seems like a strange choice of opponant given that Green has only just come out of retirement and holds no titles.
