Good post MBE!:good and it is all good, I went little exaggerated about Haye, he aint that bad. David is charismatic person indeed but IMHO it would be much better if he fought and helping Wlad clean up the division and then facing each other, fight would be really Big and all the doubters would have been silenced once and for all!:think And sure David is dangerous for Wlad, he could easily put Wlad in queers streets by one shot, it would be game over for Wlad if he gets trouble against good finisher like David. he is fast, good reflexes and Haye seems to be even a good counter puncher but I dont know if that is enought to beat Wlad. Maybe we even havent see the all of David yet? That is why Haye should make some noise in the ring IMO:think I always have think that Chagaev would be truely Great opponent for Wlad. And basically he is the champ of WBA so Wlad kinda cleans out the division and eliminates one of the so called champs, belt holders away. only thing what bothers me if Chagaev simpy doesnt have "it" anymore aka he puts up another Drummons performance...
Add Ruiz & Valuev to that list & you'd have my vote. 1. Chagaev 2. Povetkin 3. Haye 4. Arreola 5. Winner of Valuev vs. Ruiz
That's the part that really pisses off the Haye & Brit fans, the fact that Wladimir picked a great replacement & that he accepted. It leaves them no ammo.................
anybody saying toney is deluded. seeing how sam peter punished toney with the jab and his primitive other punches, wlad would certainly complete whatever brain damage toney has at this point. even aside from toney's health, toney probably doesn't deserve to be mentioned even as a last minute replacement as he hasn't had a meaningful (and legit) hw win in a long while. i'm ok with Chagaev as long as waiting for Haye wasn't a realistic possibillity (haven't kept up with the story in a few days). i'm not sold on chagaev, but he's at least as good as anybody that could've shown up and hopefully wlad will knock chagaev out of the "belt" picture so chagaev will actually have to fight somebody to get his ranking.
That's because Toney wanted the safest fight possible. Why call out BOTH Klitschkos after the Ruiz fight if he wanted none of them?, Toney's Heavyweight title run matches a clown's run in a circus. Just there to talk smack, make a few overweight fans laugh and accomplish nothing. He claimed he wanted those guys, you would expect him to officially contact them for a fight, not the other way around and RUN. Because it's logical. You want to compare Toney ditching a fight with Klitschko for Rahman to Mayweather ditching Margarito for DLH? I'm sorry but judging by how Toney has been doing things lately I'd rather believe Wladimir's team. If anyone is a proven liar/cheater then it's Toney and easily. Rahman was taken instead as he was more popular in Germany than Toney, it's not like James Toney's team showed any signs that they care anyway especially with how inactive they are lately. Needing roids to go life and death with a roided Batcheldor should impress me? He lost the first fight against Rahman in my opinion even though it's a draw and the second fight is a NC. The Oquendo fight wasn't that impressive either, if any all those fights you mentioned prove that if he steps in against Wladimir even if he replaces his blood with roids he will get KO'd cold.
I'd like to see Wlad fight any of these, most preferable starting from the top: Chagaev (if its for the belt) Vitali Haye Dimitrenko Arreola Povetkin Valuev Gomez Bidenko Chambers
2 years ago when Chagaev was a good fighter and had the WBA belt, then it would of meant something. Now it means very little IMO. When it was Haye/Wlad, ESB lit the boxing forum up like a christmas tree, every other thread was about Wlad and Haye fighting. From the posts and threads I been reading, the only boxing fans that seemed to care about this fight are the Wlad supporters. I wont blame Wlad for this, he chose the best guy he can in such a short period of time. There is just so little hype/excitement going into this fight, I just dont see it meaning all that much. It reminds me of the Iggy/Wlad fight, everyone saying it's unification and how important the fight was for the heavyweight division, that fight took place in early 08, not much has changed in the popularity of the division. The fight itself, probably turned more mainstream fans off than on, when it comes to heavyweight boxing
