I keep hearing all this negative stuff towards Cotto after the Clottey fight and I don't understand how nobody notices what he did saturday night against Clottey. Clottey was winning the fight by point on my scoredcard going into the 10th and Cotto adjusted very well those last three rounds and started outboxing Clottey. Even in the post fight Clottey said he had to be careful because of Cottos counter punching, so basically he couldn't just come in like Marg did letting his hands go because he would of payed for it and besides that he's more of a Defensive fighter.

But basically to get the point, most fighters probably would of quit if they were Cotto's postion and he came back with pretty much only one eye and won the fight against a good skilled fighter with a rock solid chin.

I think a lot of people are not giving Cotto as much credit in this fight mainly because they don't realize how good Clottey is. So here's some questions for you guys with Clottey:

Who do you see beating Clottey in the welterweight division not including Cotto?

I think Clottey would beat Shane Mosley just based on his style alone. Mayweather would never fight Clottey. Clottey would whip Berto's ass and I even think that Paul Williams would have a hard time with Clottey.

i agree, man. i've been asking the same questions. that was a very impressive win for cotto in my eyes. any of the elite WW's would have a really hard time with the guy and most would probably lose.

Exactly my point Cotto has balls, he fought with one eye against a tough ass winky Ike quartey hybrid ****er. A lot of people expect Cotto to steamroll all of his competition, they fail to realize that competition has stepped up.

Everybody seems to keep dismissing it. Hell I even read an article about how Pacman(who I respect a lot) would have a easy nite with Cotto. I was thinking, these people most be very delusional if they think that. Like I said before, Clottey is a great fighter and people for some reason haven't noticed that yet.

If Andre Berto wants to keep that WBC belt, he better not fight Clottey cause he would get punished and Shane Mosely would also lose.

It's crazy how people actually think that pacquiao would just blow Cotto away, Cotto is such a better boxer than Paqcuiao, Pacquiao is a great brawler, and old DLH and Ricky Hatton isn't a good way to make him out tobe mini Godzilla. Honestly I don't think pacquiao stands a chance against Clottey or Mosley neither.

clottey has the skills to beat berto, but hed have to be more active than he was this past weekend to win.

other than that, i think the top WW can beat him by decision just like cotto did.

Maybe Winky should try him out at a catchweight.

Berto doesn't have the all around skills Cotto has, that would be the difference. And Shane Mosley would get beat even more convincingly by Clottey than he did by Winky, who has a similiar style to Clottey, and believe Clottey is more well rounded than Winky.

Yea people keep saying Pacquiao would easily ko Cotto cause of Cotto performance. I guess most people forgot that style makes fight? Clottey style is totally different then Pacquiao. at 147 pounds, the only fighters Cotto have a problem with are fighters that are taller or stronger then him in Mosley, Margarito, Clottey. Pacquiao won't be bigger and won't be stronger then Cotto. I read alot of articles and here in this forum that many believe Pacquiao can beat Cotto even at 147 pounds. <<If thats the case then lets this fight be at 147 pounds if Pacquiao is god like biased Pacquiao fans claim he is.

And BTW, Clottey said he would fight Berto in a heartbeat but he said he doesnt think Berto would fight him and Berto would be smart not too cause he'd lose.

I totally agree with you... I wouldn't go as far as to say that Clottey will beat Shane but he will definately give him problems.

I stated in another forum that I don't know what else Cotto must do in order for other nuthuggers (specially Gayweathers) to appreciate what this guy just pulled of on Saturday. Much respect to Cotto for pulling it off.

i think mosley (with nazim richardson) beats clottey.
floyd will never fight clottey, cuz he's a punk, but if they did, floyd would win.

I'd like to see Berto vs Clottey, and/or P. Williams vs Clottey.
