Someone mentioned it already, but Marciano's refusal to quit after suffering that nauseating nose injury against Charles stands out in my mind.

Meldrick Taylor Vs. Julio Cesar Chavez.

Taylor stood toe to toe Vs. Chavez and din't give ground one inch.
Sure it was suicide, But Taylor forever proved he is 100% Philly.
(He could have used his speed & movement, Granted may not have scored as much...)

With the fights that I have seen I have to go with McGrain and Pacman vs Marquez I. Getting knocked down 3 times, and having his nose broken I believe shows an amazing amount of courage. Not to mention a lot of people that he won the battle.

Ali-Frazier through 14 grueling rounds in 100 + degree heat was incredible.

What gives you this impression? Wlad maybe has a weak chin but he never quit. All his losses were by TKO not retiring on a stool. I just cant get the logic behind that. Even against Sanders he was down 5 times but he still got up, against Peter 3 times and still won the fight, against Lamon got up from every single KD. Sorry, but I just dont get why people claim that he has no heart. After all he came back to be # 1 in ythe division after a terrible loss and when no one including his own family believed in him. That just shows something about his heart.

too many fightz come to mind to list

this is a total off the wall fight but anyone ever see bert cooper vs some latin club fighter (hernadez? sumtin like that ?) while cooper waz still climbing the heavyweight rankingz long ago?

BEST MOUTHPIECE SPIT OUT i have ever seen in my life waz by the latin dood!!!

cooper blastz him flat onto hiz back in the later roundz, latin guy barely beatz the count, ref lookz into hiz eyez askz him if he wantz to continue, latin guy starez the ref down, ref barely letz him fight on, fight resumez, cooper jumpz in and hammerz him again, something clickz in the latin dood, lookz into cooperz eyez, spitz his mouthpiece out for cooperz viewing, beckonz cooper to bring it on and god dam **** the dood nearly goes onto knock cooper out before getting creamed in the next round.

Too many to recall but the most recent example that comes to mind is that fight between Carlos Abregu and Garcia.

I thought Abregu was a goner a couple of times.
