Last Saturday we saw a great preformance from Cotto and Clottey, but in the end Clottey lost but put up a hell of a fight. My question is where does he go from here? I'm thinking Berto/Clottey, if Clottey wants a title he should go for Berto 1st, I see it as a name on his record and a belt to help get back in the race.

Where do you see Clottey going?

Berto's management would NEVER put him in with Clottey as he is a fraudulent paper title holder who will be spanked by ANY of the top dogs at Welterweight. He is too busy fighting Hatton victims and blown up 140lbers anyway.

Clottey and Williams should get it on. Two of THE MOST AVOIDED fighters in the sport and both Top 5 WWs - it would be a war. IN my eyes Williams is the true champion of the Welterweight division - he's got the tools to beat THEM ALL.

I don't know where else he could go to be honest. I think he might even be MORE AVOIDED after the beating he dished out to Cotto. Shame he only won ~ half the rounds and got knocked down - he could have had that fight.

In a perfect world, Clottey would get a rematch at Cotto or he would set up with a fight for Paul Williams since neither has much going on right now and neither guy is much of a draw on his own.

That said Arum forgot about Clottey after he lost to Margarito and I get the feeling he'll do it again. He might win the IBF belt back from whatever can is holding onto it at the time but otherwise? I don't see much promise in his future.

The new Zab Judah is the better comparison. A guy who will give you a decent fight for 4 rounds till he runs out of gas. That's what he always was.

That 2 But Zab's chin, made me choose a Mayorga instead.
But the stamina/activity issue is defo something they share no doubt.

Berto would be a logicial choice but I don't think Berto's team picks that one. Cotto won't rematch him right away. Mosley wouldn't be bad but I doubt Mosley wants the loser of Cotto-Clottey. Mosley wants Pac, Floyd, or Cotto. Maybe a guy like Collazo? It's tough because he doesn't bring tons of money and is a risk for anyone at 147.

Maybe when Mosley realizes that he can't get any big money fights, he'll give Clottey a shot. If not, there's a lot of talent at 147. Clottey can bide his time and wait for a well-deserved rematch with Cotto.

He should go into movies, he did much acting in the Cotto fight. I would like to see him fight Mosley also.

I could care less where he goes, personally. His career consistent method of waiting for his opponent to throw 4 combinations only to respond with a single combination of his own and then jump back behind the guard and repeat is way past tired.
