Ortiz superior in most departments, apart from power.

All around the better fighter and I see Kostya capitulating late after some early fireworks.

Kostya will be facing a guy with an equally effective right hand (though likely not quite the same power) for the first time in his career. Unfortunately for him, he'll be facing a man who excels in just about every other area as well in Ortiz, one of the most well schooled and ring savvy pugilists of all time. I see it going down as Rock said, with Ortiz stemming the early fireworks to grind down Tszyu for an eventual TKO victory.

We've done this one before i recall. Ortiz is very composed on the outside and can exploit holes in defences, if anyone favours Tszyu still on the outside because of his style, then i would like to put an emphasis on how strong Ortiz is going forward, and how high of a caliber his offense is in terms of sustainability and skill level. His attack to the body and short shots are a force to be reckoned with, he will stop Tszyu on the ropes for me.

Tszyu wins the first two rounds but it's all Ortiz from there, who would truly school Tszyu and stop him far more brutally than Phillips or Hatton did. As it's a Prime and focused Tszyu, he puts up a better fight, which actually leads to him getting beaten worse, and in the 8th, forced back into the ropes and stopped savagely with a right hand.

This fight is not even worth debating in my opinion. Nor is Tszyu vs Pryor for that matter, but maybe I'm underrating Tszyu, I'd like to think I'm not :good

Ortiz is the better more technical boxer, Tyszu is much stronger at the weight, more athletic, bigger power. I see Tyszu doing more damage and consequently stopping Ortiz late after some give and take rounds.

The only way KT wins this is by KO and that is VERY doubtful.

A good big un beats a good little un but ofcourse in the fantasy land of Classic boxing where no ones ventured into the ring a flyweight from the 60s beats a heavyweight of the 90s

You do know Ortiz was an undisputed jnr welter champ before he was champ lightweight?..the size issue is marginal.

Ortiz is superior to Tszyu is nearly every department and his infighting skills are exactly what will spell disaster for a guy like Kostya.

Yes I just dont think hes not strong or optimal at the weight and in modern 24hour weigh ins, Tyszu would rehydrate to 150-155, he's a massive, incredibly strong LWW, that probably would fight at WW or JMW in Ortiz day, so no the size isn't marginal, he'd just bull Ortiz around, laugh off his shots while doing that much more damage with his own. Its a case of walking your man down

Ortiz is the superior technician, better defensively but Tyszu is also the bigger P4P puncher with underrated speed, timing and boxing ability

Whilst Kostya was a 23 year old amatuer he had same day weigh ins...and always made the weight.
He was a bull strong Junior welter...but he made the weight with ease right up until Hatton (where he didnt).

How about the fact Ortiz could comfortably go 15 rounds but Kostya routinely was gassing making the full 12?
Maybe extra weight isnt always a positive.

To much is made of this issue of size and weight gaining...It wont be enough here, Ortiz is just to good.
