Cotto weighed in at 146 for the Clottey fight. If you think losing 2lbs would seriously affect a 5ft 7in, 28 year old former lww champion, you should check into rehab to dry out as well!

No it's not. Pac showed that he can fight very well at 147. Cotto's natural weight is 147, that's where he perfoms the best, not 144 nor 143.

Listen nuthugger if Manny wants to fight Welterweights he should fight them @ 147 or not at all. I am sick of this catch weight bull****. He is trying to weight drain his opponents it is disgraceful that he would fight DLH @ 147 and not anyone else. That reeks of handpicking a fight that Roach and Manny knew they had a great chance of winnning because DLH would be dead at that weight and he was.

thought you were shouting for 147 or nothing before?

anyway, its 147 or nothing for me..... even 4 lbs drop may drain Cotto enough to eat 1 too many uppercuts (there will come a time that this happens)

Pac will be challenging for WW belt as well

Pacquiao weighed in at 142lbs when he fought at ww. On fightnight he was 148.5lbs.

Cotto will weigh in at 147lbs, and weigh nearly 160lbs on fightnight.

If you think that's more fair than Cotto weighing in TWO pounds less, take up tennis as this sport isn't for you.

Is this for the belt? If so, then he's getting away with murder like Ray Leonard against Lalonde.

And Pacquiao didn't stay at welterweight for a reason :good:good

Of course the belt cannot be on the line if the fight is at less than 147, that cannot happen anymore like it did with Leonard.

No, he won't be challenging for the ww belt if the fight is at less than 147, the rules are different now, that cannot happen.

I think Pac will win if it's 147 or if it is lower, but that doesn't mean it's fair to fight at ww. Pac isn't big enough for it, never will be.
