True to an extent-the fact that Lennox needed 6 rounds suggested he should call it a day:hey

More importantly, he spent 15 months watching Vitaly and mulling over his encounter after the fight, and finally decided that his legacy was more important than $25 million dollars.

    Right choice too.

By getting his face caved in, and receiving the record amount of stitches ever given to a fighter after a title fight.

    Fact.

Nice way to "drive someone into retirement", eh?

Somewhere in London David Haye, knowing that he just escaped the ass whoopin' of a lifetime, shreeks in excitement behind a closed bathroom door.

Nothing to do with money, Lewis was already rich. He'd beaten everyone there was to beat and decided to leave. Shame you can't give him credit for that when he could have ended up a mockery like most HW champs do.

In his worst ever performance he beat the living **** out of the best version of VITLAY, why should he train his arse off just to prove a point twice? The Champ doesn't need to rematch a guy he already beat, get that through your skull for ****s sake :patsch

And somewhere in Germany, Waldo and Vitlay Klitschko are having a "private meeting" -- which they claim is an attempt to supposedly gameplan for Chagaev... but in reality we all know what they're up to.

    :yep

Vitali was not owed a rematch. He was the challenger and he was beaten.Beating Vitali again wouldn't have proved a great deal given Lewis' acheivements-plus the fact he didn't need the money. Also,he retired with his health intact

Let it go fighting weight... Lewis' brief reign as transitional Champion between the real Champs of the 90's (Tyson, Holyfield, Bowe).... and the real Champs of the 00's (the Klitschkos)..... is over. Thank god that we now have a Champ who is willing to defend his titles more than once a year. (and not against fighters who have just been knocked out like Frans Botha).

i agree. lewis had nothing to gain from the rematch. to be honest though it's scary how good of shape he's keep himself in

Ah I see your logic here. So presumably VITLAY is still cowering behind a bathroom door at the thought of fighting Rahman, yes?Don't bother replying, we all know what a moron you are.
