Agreed. Going life and death with a shot Mayorga, beating a shot-to-**** Vargas, losing to Cotto and KOing a guy who probablly cheated his way to the top isn't as impressive as Mosley's high regard on ESB suggests.

Throw in the gift decision against Oscar, losing to Winky Wright twice, and Vernon Forrest twice, in his prime, and the fact that he was using performance enhacing drugs when he scored his biggest win, and there is plenty of smoke and a lot of mirrors surrounding Mosley's career.

Now I know how it feels to be a long time boxing fan, and then having to discuss boxing with all the new fans to the sport, it sucks cus they don't know squat!

I'm leaning towards Shane but in all honesty all these guys were GREAT and very close in terms of ability, accomplishments and skills. Shane obviously is still fighting at a high level so he might just surpass them all.

Maybe....but so would be DLH and Tito. Fact is Shane has some very good wins and some great names on his resume. So does DLH as well as Tito. All of them were tremendous fighters who accomplished more in the sport than 95% of all professional boxers so they are ATG's....where they rank on that list is anther story.

Yeah, but ODLH and Trinidad have accomplished more, so can you kindly explain on what basis you have Molsey over these two?

I think you're right...DLH and Tito have accomplished a bit more but not by much. DLH is a 6 divsion champ....5 if you don't count that contraversial MW WBO title, but Shane has been linear champ more times than DLH. I don't think there is any question that Tito and DLH have done more in the sport and have more names on their record, win or loose. But Shane up to this point is performing at a very high level....he's still on the P4P list at 37 and he has big wins over DLH even though I thought he lost the rematch.

I also thought DLH beat Tito as well. I had chosen it's too close to call but if I had to choose it would be DLH, Tito, then Shane. I think Shane and Tito are closer in terms of where they are on the list but again....I'm really just pulling straws to come to my conclusion. They all had some very stellar careers.

If you count the fact that Mosley was roided for the 2nd DLH, and that most had him losing the fight anyway, he should technically be a 2 division champ, just alone on the steroid use.

I truly feel that Mosley is P4P today based on how weak this era of boxing is. No doubt he's a tremendous athlete who's always in tip top shape, but I can't see how he has accomplished more than Trinidad or DLH.
