I was pointed to this earlier. Has Kelly in the grave already? Geez. The longer I don't here back from my sources though ........

The one thing that seems strange to me is that someone with the will power to be would champ and drop 15 pounds in 6 weeks of training has that 'big' of a problem, but time will tell.

The rematch was not optional because it was part of the contract for the first fight with taylor

as ive said before....its not suprising....especially in the area of the country pavlik is from....alot of hard working, down on their luck, people....sure pavlik can live the good life...but he stays in the area....and its all around him....unfortunately he cannot share/spread his wealth around to everyone hes known and all his local well wishers....what he can do is go down to the bar, shoot some darts with em, and buy em all a few rounds of drinks.....

you even look at paul spadafora...from the same area of the country...this guy would go to the gym at like 6 am or whenver....off of like 30 beers

The best I can determine, alcoholism is genetic predisposition. I had a friend that worried about his drinking because his father was one and literally drowned in a few inches deep mud puddle.

I put it like this to him. If you drink a lot, are you the type that will give it up for a while or do you find the 'hair of dog' works. If you are a 'hair of dog' type person, you may be in trouble. Drinking gets rid of the sickness so you keep drinking. If you aren't, further drinking makes you sicker. I have given up drinking months, years at a time after getting really drunk myself.

^^^^ This. I find it odd for this kind of news to break on some random site and not on one of the major boxing sites. Plus the article was written poorly. Said one sentence about him entering a facility, then just went on to give his history.

WTF is going on??? I don't need to hear this kinda news. Why is no one close to Youngstown telling us what they either know or don't know?

Yeah, if he checked into a rehab center, don't you think thats news that would make it to Fightnews.com?

    Something sounds fishy...:think
