Too bad you don't know what the **** you're talking about. Paul makes welterweight easily. Pathetic excuses.
the idea has been tossed around... I mean if shane , cotto or clottey fought pw @ 147 on july 23rd... thats the day we would see williams at welterweight.... its not a matter of his health but he just cant secure a fight at the weight...he probably didnt do himself any favors by fighting at high weights....he is a welterweight ...he just isnt one because no welters will fight him..... thats like saying "you dont like eating at nice restaurants when realistically you do... you just cant afford whats on the menu" **** you talking about dog.... its a thread you vote on... i didnt make a thread that said "miguel cotto is over rated" or "miguel cotto is a *****" ... ITS YOUR VOTE! stop whining
cotto needed a tune up after a brutal fight... and I dont believe clottey is the one doing the ducking...
The man has not fought at WW for how long now? He is ripped at MW and you think he can make WW. No, wait a minute according to you very easy. Unless you know him personally, then you don't know what the **** you are talking about.
the only thing that annoys me about the paul williams thing is like.... people are saying he's not a welter because of his height... but if its about his height.... paul williams should be a heavyweight & zsolt erdei could be a welter weight yeah but he doesnt fight at that weight because nobody will fight him shane said no cotto (arum) said no/is busy berto (di bella) wont do it clottey now wants some so let some time boil over and see if that will happen... I doubt they are going to want cotto's left overs like i said in comparison... to say paul williams isnt a welterweight because he doesnt fight them... its like saying you dont like flying first class when the reality of the situation is the airlines are too expensive for you to afford a ticket
I would say it is Fairly Rated. People understand that Cotto is not typically a one-punch knockout man. Still, he can build the damage up over time and can beat people down. When he has been fighting less than the elite, they go down.
Who said that? Who cares about his height. Hearns was very tall and dominated the WW until SRL. He should have stayed and fought any top fifteen fighter until a big fight arised. I truly believe he will be weight drained if he tried to come back. He is doing fine at 154 and 160.
Like I said, he makes it very easily. Very easily. He had to eat like a ****ing pig during the Wright training camp. And you know what he weighed in??? 157. He easily makes 147.
a lot of people will just be like.... " this guy is 6 ft 2 he has no business at welterweight".... i've been through the argument a million times...I dont think he would have a problem coming back down... he had to gain weight to be at 160... he didnt do **** at 154... he would just have to lose weight to fight at welter.... but thats what all those guys do ..... they lose the weight & put it back on
Big question is, will he be a healthy 147 fighter if he came back down. ****, when is he due to fight again?
In February of 2008, he weighed in at 145 against Quintana2. And he wasn't the least bit drained. I wasn't trying to be a smart-ass earlier, but he makes the weight easily. And people who say he can't do it simply have no idea what they're talking about. They are basing it on absolutely nothing. Besides... This thread is not the Williams-Cotto thread. So I'll STFU about him in this one...:good
Believe me, it is dangerous to be boucing up and down from weight classes. He beats the **** out of your body.
Yes. It normally is. But he is so light that it really isn't a stretch for him to go a few pounds lower. Again, he had to eat like a horse to maintain to 157 against Winky.
