I agree mostly everything beside the acting job as you think. Both Clottey and Cotto did stuff that were illegal even though both are accident with Clottey clash heads with Cotto while Cotto hit Clottey on the back of the head and the low blow. Like Cotto cut above his eyes like Clottey injured knee those stuff happens in boxing. Both did show heart and guts and gave a very good fight in which most here that bashed either Cotto or Clottey never really mention it.
Clottey Should not have turned his head, He also faked the low blow that was at his belt line. I hope Arum feeds him to P Williams
They seemed to me to have enough respect for each other after the fight so its not like it was all dirty **** going on.
That was on the belt line like you said but this guy RayHogan or whatever believes that it was a low blow and I wanted to make sure that it was the 12th so I can post the video of it.
The only thing bou Clottey I really dislike(That african son'***** is tough, skilled, and and incredible warrior) is his attempt to milk out point deductions. A referee doesnt decide to deduct based on you showing him how much it hurts. When guys act like Clottey did after that rabbit punch, its very indicative of a guy trying to squeeze out a point. Lots of great fighters try to sway referee's, Im just not a fan of it.
these motha****as are fighting for million dollar paydays. You do what you gotta do. Ref is the only one who should get any blame for dirty tactics going un-punished.
It was an low blow but accidental shot in which Clottey and Cotto still continue to fight despite a few second delay. If Clottey would be acting on a low blow shot, he would did the same like in the 5th round in which you like to mention it many times.
Cotto intentionally hit Clottey in the back of the head and he also threw him down. If you are going to castigate one guy for roughhouse tactics then the same rules should apply for the other!
So you are talking about the 12th round correct? Because he did a nice acting job on that one and he was complaining to the ref and even emmauel steward said that he felt like Clottey was exagerating. here's the video so you can see how Clottey held Cotto's arm and as Cotto was throwing his punch which lead to the punch to the back of the head and the belt line blow which you are saying was a low blow. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwxkpZFVNbs
yeah but lotsa great fighters do far worse, no biggie to me, cotto isn't exactly mr clean himself. clotteys a very underated fighter
That's what I was watching too. Didnt bother me. Only frustration was Clottey's inactivity in the last rounds.
