He did beat Mosely in a closely contested match up, however in boxing it is "What have you done for me lately?" Cotto won a close and somewhat controversial decision against Clottey while Mosley destroyed a seemingly invincible Margarito. You do the math.

alot of the hate comes from the fact that cotto isnt great at one thing but good at alot of things. hes not exceptionally fast but he has good speed, he dosent have exceptional power but he can punch, he dosent have the greatest chin but its solid. because if this he been insome tought fights and has looked vulnerable in some of them but its also has to do with the competition
