Paul Williams is much taller than the official 6'1, look at him dwarfing Merchant, much more so than the 6'2 1/2 Pavlik... HE still has freaky wide shoulders/long arms.

 

He looks extremely short at that pic and his face start resemble Valuev's
... don't think that he should follow this path ....

 

I agree. I think whomever's idea it was to come into this fight shorter than usual.......it was a bad idea. He don't look to be over 6 foot 2 for this fight.

And what is to gain by coming into this fight looking like Valuev? What kind of training regime is that? :-(

Once upon a time, Iggy was an exciting, aggresive and dangerous fighter. Then he hooked up with Jeff Mayweather, and it ruined him. Iggy fought in a shell that whole fight, just waiting for Wlad to over-extend with his right so he could counter it. Wlad didn't fall for it. If you wish to blame Wlad for that; fine. But he took what his opponent gave him and won the fight.

I don't expect the same sort of effort from Chagaev. If the fight goes the distance, it's because he is able to withstand Wlad's power while landing many effective shots of his own. He's a crafty boxer with a good left-hand counter, and will give Wlad trouble. I believe defeating Chagaev will require an impressive fight from Wlad.

People say this before every fight. This is because most of these pictures are action shots or pictures after he has just worked out. A person's body looks more bulked up and ripped after a workout. Wlad is always around the same size.
