Pascal has very good skills but he also has big flaws.

He throws wide punches that a skilled fighter can exploit all night and is very enigmatic defensively. Diaconu has a very respectful amateur pedigree and brings very good skills to the table also.

It's a 50/50 fight for me only because of Diaconu's legendary stamina issues and the fact he is too stubborn to stick to a game plan. If it wasn't for that, I would be quite convinced of a TKO for Diaconu between rounds 8 & 9.

I can't wait to highlight this post after your boy gets Knocked The **** Out. Pascal hasnt felt real power a day in his life. Tonite he will learn what power is when he gets caught flush and hurt Adi will finish him.

Sad thing is even after Diaconu knocks Pascal out he won't get any credit. For me its all about him handing a beatdown to the loudmouthed, chinachinned ****** named Jean Pascal

I have seen every fights of both fighters and I never saw Diaconu in such a good shape, ever. Everything is there to remeind me of the Diaconu that destroyed Hoye. And that is not good news for Pascal, who I respect more since his fight with Froch. But I still think that Jean is not a top prospect ( top 5 ) eighter at SMW or LHW. Were Diaconu is due to give a great performance in order to gain props here in Montreal but mostly in the eyes of the boxing world in general. He has to be the best he ever was, and take care of business early.

The Shark should end this by brutal KO in the 5th round, otherwise, he might be in trouble if Pascal shows improvment from the Froch battle.
Can't wait to go to the Bell Center and get in shape ( get booze-up and all... ) for the fight...

    Go Adi Go !

If I were Diaconu's coach, my strategy would be the following: Pascal is very often off balance when he hits his opponent. So, instead of chasing Pascal in the ring, let him come, counter and take him off balance. Diaconu is small but has long arms so Pascal doesn't have a reach advantage. Let come Pascal, don't waste energy to go after him. If I was Pascal's coach, I would tell him to avoid to brawl, to box, move around, make Diaconu waste his energy in big blows missing its target. Then, fast combos to score judges and go back again. What's exciting is both men rarely follow their coach.

I'll be there live too... I'm expecting a UD for Pascal. If he's not too careless, I'm seeing a rather easy UD. But you never know... I won't be surprised if Diaconu knocks him out sometimes before round 6. If Pascal gets through the first 5 ot 6 rounds, he'll be OK. Anyway, we'll see...

Yeah. I think Diaconu will be able to land straight lefts all night, and that Pascal's reach advantage won't be an issue because Pascal doesn't know how to use it, but I'm afraid that Diaconu just won't throw enough punches to counter Pascal's workrate.

He has decent workrate for a guy his size. He's not Calzaghe or Bute or Pavlik, but he throws a good 70 punches a round. Diaconu throws more like 50.
