i never thought moorer added much to the wildcard to begin with, atlas said he was a headcase in his carear, and had poor work ethic in his lead-up to when he got KO'D by big george....

 And they should replay in slow motion when Moorer's heart breaks.

That may be true but he still had "Double M" living in his house with him....

After working with Atlas is it any wonder that Moorer is screwed up? If Atlas says anything bad about Moorer I take it with a grain of salt.

Atlas used to treat Moorer like dirt. Slap him in the face between rounds. Ridicule him. Scream at him.

Moorer is probably treating fighters the way he was treated as a fighter.

Moorer came across as a bit of a *****, to be honest. He seemed to think he knew everything, which is obviously a massive contrast to Roach's down-to-earth style, and it probably undermined his training as well.

Complete with commentary from the guy from Jackson-Graham.

Freddy- Sorry Michael but this isn't working out man.
"OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! That's what we had been worried about!"

Actually, it seems a bit sad (to me anyway) that a former Heavyweight Champ can't hold a job as an assistant trainer......I worked for/with trainers who were total pricks...I always thought it was just part of the game.

I figure most trainers have a line that you don't cross at the risk of losing your fighter for good. Perhaps Moorer was habitually stepping over that line?

I understood he had alcohol as well as mental problems. It seems they were quite serious ( www.highbeam.com/doc/1P1-26037264.html , but there was also something about assaulting police officers and so on), so I wouldn't be surprised if he is no longer as rich as he used to be.

That may very well be the case. Either way, I can only imagine how disappointing it must be for him. I hope he has something left of his (around) $30 million in purses.

He was never ofifcially bankrupt (or at least I haven't heard of it), but on the other hand I remember he said during his comeback something like he was fighting to get $$$ for his sister treatment. It suggests that most of those milions were already gone.
