So what is the whole story? What makes these guys any better then lets say a Verno Philips or a Luis Collazo?

D, anything Duran did after beating Leonard just added to Duran's legend. Duran marched into the Leonard fight 72-1 if I'm not mistaken, and beat Leonard who is in many people's top 10 best ever all time.

Would you say a guy who beat Luis Collazo, Verno Phillips and say Roman Karmazin would be a decent scalp for a guy who was one of the best of the era?

Yes as to why he is great. However, he did very little else above 147 and people tend to overrate him at that weight and above.

They are average fighters. So I would call them average wins as I said before. Decent yes. Exceptional? No.

D, you are my man and 50 grand, but if we have to ask who did Palomino beat, then we have to ask, who did the above guys beat?

Stracey beat Napoles. An older version, but ****ing Napoles you crazy person. He was World, European and British weltwerweight champion.

He had great heart, a cracking left hand and decent speed.

You are also wrong that "nobody knows who these guys are". Loads of guys know who they are. Anyone who knows their history knows who they are. That's the thing you are wrongest about my friend. Why don't you make your own mind up.

danny_rand slowly joining lionel at this rate. lol i kid, i kid, i jest

duran gets overated from time to time and in the 4 horsemen he comes out the lowest....even tho beating leonard who is on top of the others. and to me did better against hagler than ray (BLASHPEMY!!!!!!!!!!!! blasforyou) so could even argueably coem out on top....waste of a paragraph there.

point is that at lightweitght there are few who can beat him, he could go to war and win and could box and win also had a solid defence he had everything going for him.

the going up to welter to beat a prime leonard, claim a middlewieght title against the teak tough iran barkley, fighting thru 5 decades, destructed davey moore are just extra stars in the sky as far as he is concerned....you'll be surprised by how many critics thought he could beat joppy.

i dunno. even without his lightweight career he has a incredible record

D, those are guys you don't even need to respond to. I just read that someone criticized Leonard for making an immediate rematch with Duran because Leonard knew that Duran would still be ****ed up from partying after he beat Sugar lol... WTF!!!

No you were questioning how good a win Palomino was for Duran ultimately, let's have this right, and to do that you were looking to undermine Palomino's best best wins, and as a derivative from that come to the cnclusion that Palomino is not a great win for Duran, yes?

You likened the likes of Stracey etc to Phillips etc, so i asked you wether if a great fighter now, beat a man who beat Luis Collazo, Verno Phillips and say Roman Karmazin would you consider it a good win. You know you would, that's that anyway.
