To paraphrase: the NYSAC should make the judge come in, watch the fight with them, and explain how he got that score. Perhaps Atlas ought to suggest the same for his ESPN colleague Dan Rafael who had the same score. He got peppered in his chat today with people bashing him, too. Good, that ****er loves to be holier than thou with official judges who go away from the convention, but he hides behind his "I scored it that way, that's all there is to it..." nonsense as soon as the heat is on him.
Hey you can't have that avatar on there . I was reading your post and suddenly :yikes damm what the ****...:good
Wasn't the other judges score 115-112? That's only one round scored differently. So effectively you have two judges scoring it much the same and the other one diverging significantly with 113-114. How can a judge scoring one round differetly over 12 rounds be considered so inept that he has to explain his score to the commission? The odds say that it is the 113-114 that should be explaining his score. Personally I scored it a close win to Cotto. I think people got caught up in what they were expecting Cotto to do in the fight and then when he didn't fulfil those expectations people saw him as being completely ineffective, when that wasn't the case. At one point commentating midway through the fight Steward said that apart from the KD in the first round it had been all Clottey. This was after Cotto had smashed the **** outta Clottey in the 6th. Atlas's total inability to predict a winner in a fight in even the most obvious of outcomes suggests that the guy doesn't see things like a normal human.
I find it interesting how split the reaction is on Julia Bond. Plenty of people really like her, but just as many seem entirely unable to find the source of the attraction.
Atlas is right,Don Trella needs to explain himself. We have had too many robberies just like that fool who gave Calzaghe 116-11 over Hopkins, what was he smoking?
Bad tit job, they look wonky. I had Cotto winning by 1 or 2 points, some rounds were really hard to score cant be to harsh on the judges, at least they gave the right man the win!
114-113 Clottey was the correct score. You could forceeably have it 114-113 Cotto if you dont like clean punching and think that hitting gloves counts as contact. However, 115-112 and to a greater extent 116-111 are horrible scores. And anybody who scored it like that should review how you are supposed to score a fight.
Clottey did not win that fight, you need your head read.He doesnt work hard enough full stop!To many rounds that he could have won had he worked harder can go either way.
Clottey threw 49 punches in the 11th round. Only delusional Cotto fans said that Clottey didnt do enough to delude themselves into thinking that Cotto won the fight because Cotto was on roller skates for the last 5 rounds.
I call them as i see them mate and Cotto won the fight by a small margin.Would of been bigger had it not been for the cut. If Clottey grew a pair and got some killer instinct i would of had no problem with giving him the fight.
i had it 114-113 cotto....but its VERY easy to give it 114-113 clottey.....I think 115-112 is a little bit of a stretch.......and 116-111 is a little bit hard to see where that came from......but i dont think its a robbery.
