I know he lives now mostly in the USA with his new house and he always fights in the USA. But, it would be great for his country if he could bring some big fights to the Phillipines.
I agree... Although, with the masses that would pour in, I don't know of anyplace they could hold it. Maybe an old-school Tex Rickard-type 80,000 seat stadium made just for the fight...
With all of the distractions that come with fighting at home turf, it's a pretty bad idea if you ask me.
whats the record for a fights live gate? chavez - haugen was it? pac vs. 'a name fighter' would break that, and then some.
If Pac loses by decision, I may fear for the judges lives and wonder if the opponent will get out of the airport and not get "accidentally" sent to a penal colony.
first part is not actually true. he loves living in his country so much that he sometimes slipped out of training to ride a jet and travel thousands of miles just see his family and friends again. but yes, i would love for him to fight here again even if it is against someone like katsidis.
hmm says.... NO. remember how many ppl died from a heart attack watching on Pac-Hatton on tv in the Philippines? Now imagine what will happen when ppl watch him live in a huge and sold-out venue. :yep
The card could be on a Sunday morning in the Philippines so it airs on Saturday during prime time, like the last Donaire card.
