Today i decided to watch the fight again. I don't like scoring fights during the fight itself because IMO it detracts from the fun of the event. Anyways here are my scores and personally I expected to get a closer score than what my final tally was at the end.

    1-Cotto 10-8
    2-Clottey 10-9
    3-Cotto 10-9
    4-Cotto 10-9
    5-Clottey 10-9
    6-Cotto 10-9
    7-Clottey 10-9
    8-Clottey 10-9
    9-Clottey 10-9
    10-Cotto 10-9
    11-Cotto 10-9
    12-Cotto 10-9

    115-112

The same as John McHale. Now, if the KD didn't happen then the fight would have been 115-113 for me. So I don't think this score is to off base because if the KD didn't happen the fight would have really been 1-2 round difference so it could of gone either way. However, I gave it to Cotto after re-watching and scoring the fight.

Here is a breakdown of the media and how they scored the fight, not that the 116-111 was correct but most had it for Cotto as far as I can see.

    Cotto

    ESPN-Dan Rafael
    116-111

    Fighthype.com
    115-112 Cotto

    Teddy Atlas
    116-111 Cotto

    Fightnews.com
    114-113 Cotto

    Associated Press
    116-111 Cotto

    8countnews.com
    116-111 Cotto

    Yahoo Sports/Kevin Iole
    114-113

Bernard Hopkins thought Cotto won the fight

Anything more than 114-113 for Cotto and you're either a fan or do not know the difference between clean effective punching and partially blocked punching.

Had the fight 114-113 with KD. I feel if Cotto did not score that KD it should have been a draw.

And I don't have a problem with that score, although I scored the bout 115-112 for Clottey. There are really only two rounds that could have gone either way, which is why I have no problem with 114-113 for either fighter or 115-112 Clottey.

    Anything beyond that is ludicrous.

Not a robbery, but I still think that Clottey got jobbed. Too much credit given to Miguel fighting through the cut. Yeah it was amazing, but surviving doesnt win fights. Neither does riding a bicycle without landing clean effective punches for around 6 rounds.

The KD was legit I don't know why people insist it wasn't. Clottey was throwing a left hook and Cotto threw a left jab putting Clottey on his ass. Was Clottey hurt? NO. It was a perfectly timed and exectued punch.

With an emphasize on CLEAN EFFECTIVE PUNCHING!!!!!

Clottey was the only one landing effective punches.

Do you have your round by round scorecards to post? I want to see what rounds you gave to Clottey.

Not on me. I'm at work. But I know of the top of my head that I gave the third round to Clottey and I think maybe the 10th as well compared to that of the OP.
