    I've never seen a guy get as much praise for quitting as Chagaev seems to be getting tonight.

    "At least he tried" - what kind of **** is this? It was a world heavyweight title fight and when the going got tough, he quit. It wasn't happening for him but ffs he just let himself loose in the end.

    You're really reaching there. That "good left hook" was after the bell so I'm not sure why that is impressive to you? He looked like a quitter after round 9. I see no reason to give a this over rated boxer any credit.:deal

    Just think about the fighters from the golden era. 40s-70s..

    NO wonder boxing is a dieing sport..

    The fight was over. What was he going to do? Get peppered for another nine minutes just for shits and giggles? Have that cut open up twice as wide so he'll have a nice cool scar to show his grandkids? Stupid.

    People **** on Jeff Lacy after his 12 round beating to joe calzaghe (A massacre compared to Wlad v chagaev)
    But Lacy kept trying right to the last bell even though he was outclassed in every department...
    Chagaev made probably over £1 million tonight ...id take a load of left hands and quit on my stool for that kinda money!

    Actually it's "fans" like you that are the worst thing for boxing, and give it a really bad name among the mainstream sports audiences from which a larger fanbase might otherwise be culled.

    Lacy quitting any time around round 9 or later would've made sense. The real meatheads would've complained but their opinion doesn't really matter.

    I agree with you entirely.

    He was broken at pulling out. And he showed extraordinary heart. Having said that, I must admit to feeling a twinge of dissapointment when he was pulled...compassionate corner.
