I think Vitali could beat him.

The main reason I'd back him is because he seems much more ruthless than his brother. I think Vitali would come in to win and Wlad would be even more cautious than usual. If this was two guys with no relation to each other, then Wlad's attributes may see him past Vitali, but with the brother thing going on, I'd back Vitali to be the least effected by it.

Shitty way to analyse a fight, but it's a unique scenario that would play a massive part on the outcome.

If I were David Haye right now I'd be pulling out all the stops to try to get Chagaev into the ring. I saw nothing tonight that should concern him, and what better way to get himself back in the frame than by stopping Chagaev quicker than WALDO did?

i tend to feel the same way about haye's chances as well.

haye has a huge speed advantage over vitali who has been flattered, speed wise by lard arses peter and gomez.

his chin is also still untested in his comeback and gomez did rattle him the one time he got through early on in their bout. i believe vitali would be favourite but that haye has the tools to make vitali fall apart, one way or the other.

No I agree, Vitali is technically poor, fairly slow, dodgy footwork and doesn't have much on his shots. Plus he's getting older

 

But Vitali is twice as durable as Wladimir, is actually bigger in stature, and can punch equally or just as hard as Waldo.

I see Wladimir getting hit by Haye and that being the end of the night. Haye would have to hit Vitali with the same shot several times. You've all seen the uppercut that Vitali walked through against Lewis. Disgusting shot.

 

Right. Chagaev had a high guard, his chin was tucked in, and he had some head movement. Wlad was simply too good, too big and too skilled.

Wlad's jab rocked Chagaev back wards and when Chagaev got to close, the right hand was a killer. CHagaev wasn't a small guy at all. In fact by 1950's standards he be among the tterler and heaviest

If Wlad fought some of 6' guys with 74" reach or less ( Hmm...I wonder who that might be in the 1950's ) he have a field day on them.

 

Haye has no shot. The right hand that jacked Chagaev's jaw in round two would have put Haye down for he count.

As for Vitali, yes he's older but Gomez was pretty skilled and far from slow. The difference between Wlad and Vitali is Vitali is willing to trade when he's hit. Part of boxing is to hit and not be hit. Wlad has perfected that art.
