A young Leonard walked "around" a prime Cuevas.

Benetiz...for some reason.... only trained a minimum time....even with
his WBC Title on the line.

Benitez was a much better fighter than Cuevas.

benitez wasn't mature enough to realize the big picture, at that time. most likely never would

Wilfred did ok in spots in that fight...I question the stories revolving around how little he trained.

I dont see Cuevas fairing better...He just doesnt have the tools.

Its really hard to make a case for Cuevas beating Leonard at WW.

The answer is simple: Cuevas was too dangerous a fight to take even for Leonard

Cuevas, as he had the KO power to end it.

Anything is possible but Pipino was a freak of nature with frame and super dense muscles. he was like no other that Leonard fought.

Leonard was in a different league to Cuevas.

Skillwise, you could say that about a lot of fighters that lost to great hitters and Cuevas ranks up there with Bob Fitzsimmons, George Foreman, Bob Foster, Julian Jackson..

I look at it this way, if you can hurt Ray Leonard you have a good shot at beating him.

I'm not saying ray dont have a chance to win but in my opinion, Cuevas and Napoles were the best

All I'm saying is if Cuevas caught him a few too many times. Benitez wasn't known for inflicting that kind of damage.

I can envision Leonard knocking out Cuevas in a war.
