Wlad is already a greater champion than Mike Tyson.

There is somuch wrong with this post I don't even know where to start. First of all today's era of fighters is actually worst than the era Tyson completely dominated, guys like Valuev, Fat Peter, and Old Maskiev along with shot Briggs have been champs. #2 Tyson fought better comp than Wlad, Bruno, Tucker, Spinks, Holmes, Golota, and Ruddock were all good wins. # 3 When Tyson fought Holy and Lewis he was past prime, in fact Lewis beat a shell of Tyson in 02. #4 when Tyson was champ he was the man, Wlad is just beginning to become the man, # 5 Tyson lost to a ranked contender in Douglas who had already fought for a World title, Wlad lost to 3 scrubs in his prime who were not contenders but just juorneymen.

Wlad is a good fighter no doubt, but this kind of nuthuggery is the main reason he gets so much **** on this board.

You have a valid point - there are lots of talented athletes fighting the war. Namely, nintendo, xbox and playstation. As soon as they come back there will be a surge of american boxers once again, or so I hope.

Though, those really aren't the kids to get into the gym for boxing's sake. We've already got great, great huge athletes that could easily dominate this sorry ass group of heavyweights - they just need an incentive/subsidy to train.

bull****. the division wlad is dominating is way worse then even tyson's era. and wlad ain't dominating like tyson did even though he's 3/4 of a foot bigger than tyson. wlad is great just not atg yet. beating ibrag, chag, thompson, peter (and having scary moments there), byrd, and whomever else doesn't make you atg but who knows if he keeps it up you might have an argument

Compare what Ike did to Byrd with what Wlad did with Byrd. Ike steamrolls Wlad.

Kids today see these fighters and naturally enough, think they must be the best ever because they're the best THEY'VE seen. That doesn't make it so.

 

I do not think so. He weigh so much and that gives him an advantage. If he weighed the same as all the other guys that would be different since then he would be at a big disadvantage. But he is so big he is strong. But I admit the win yesterday was good and after hearing what happened I know that Haye would have been stopped also. Vitali is a bad fight for Haye also. Haye is good but too small.

 

Prime Tyson would murder Wlad.

Wlad is great champion with great jab, who punishes the chumps who are put infront of him, but he is not from the same cloth like Tyson, Ali, Lewis, Dempsey, Marciano, Smokin' Joe, Joe Louis...

 

Tyson is overrated but he's clearly above Klitschko in any sane all-time list. They're good champions, but Wlad and Vitali would have to stop ducking each-other in order for Wlad to make any sort of claim to a top 10 place.

 

when are you all going to realise that wlad doesn't want to get hit in the head repeatedly so he's a ****ed up old man in a few years. He's not some nobody from the ghetto. He could have quit boxing before he got famous and still made something of his life. He's got intelligence and he's making millions AND is the champ and you lot crisicise him for not wanting to take a beating and have some highlight real battles to prove he's an ATG!??
